I hired Teresa to represent me a an uncontested divorce. In the 9 month relationship that I had with her she did not do anything except take my check to the court to file the initial paperwork. None of the other paperwork was ever done, they lost documents and I got excuse after excuse why the paperw...ork wasn't done. I kept getting promises that the paperwork would be done "next week" and that she was in the processing of reviewing it. What should have taken 6 months to complete will now take me about 1 1/2 years!!! Do not waste your time, money or energy on hiring this attorney. She unresponsive and always unavailable.

I found this lawyer to be top notch and highly affordable during my divorce. I even recommended her to my sister and several coworkers who have been very satisfied. I found e-mail to her and her office staff to be the most effective form of communication since she is probably so busy from word of mou...th no doubt. when it comes to trust I would trust her with any matter when it comes to my Kids and that speaks volumes. Divorce is no picnic, but she made it less painful for sure.

She aggressively represented me in a child support matter in and out of court. She has handled several family matters for me and every outcome was exactly what she expected. If you follow her advice you will get exactly what she says she can do. Sometimes it can take several years to follow her ad...vice to get what you want, but you will win. I see some negative reviews which are not fair. She returns calls when something is important and needs to be relayed to you so remember every call she returns costs the client. So think of it she is saving you money and using the cost where it counts; representing you! Also remember she is a professional attorney, not a therapist. If you need constant hand holding call your mother. If you want to win your case call Teresa. I have had Teresa handle 4 major family matters and all came out exactly how she said it would. My children and I have never been happier.

I was so disappointed by the service I received from Ms. Bristow. Nothing was tended to in a prompt manner, and it is almost impossible to get a phone call or email back. This case is personal and involves my children, and she acted like she never cared at all. Never felt like I had an advocate or so...meone fighting for me. In addition to all that, she has a new assistant is who is so rude and acts like everything is a bother for her. I've also noticed that her assistant seems to be gone a lot so often nobody is answering phones or there to even take a message. Bottom line is nobody at that office cares about you or your case, but they will sure take your money. They don't return phone calls or emails and act put out by every little thing. There are plenty of good family law attorneys in sacramento, I'm sure, but Teresa is NOT one of them.
