Teresa Faye Bristow

We had Teresa Bristow for divorce. She regularly submitted continuances on our case or did not show up to court at all. We received no correspondence or call backs on the case, and finally had to finalize with a court mediator and a paralegal from Ms. Bristow's office. Luckily, we were finally able t...o file the divorce paperwork in November 2015, after nine months of pain over failures by Ms. Bristow's office.

I do not recommend Teresa Bristow. I hired Teresa 1-3 years ago. Teresa handled my Divorce / Separation matter. I have previously worked with another lawyer. I hired Teresa to represent me a an uncontested divorce. In the 3 years relationship that I had with her she did not do anything except tak...e my check to the court to file the initial paperwork. None of the other paperwork was ever done, they lost documents and I got excuse after excuse why the paperwork wasn't done. I kept getting promises that the paperwork would be done "next week" and that she was in the processing of reviewing it. What should have taken 6 months to complete will now take me about 4 yearss!!! Do not waste your time, money or energy on hiring this attorney. She unresponsive and always unavailable. And I am about take her to state bar she jeopardise my divorce case.... And i am also about to sue Teresa Bristow for incompetencemy case.

I found this lawyer to be top notch and highly affordable during my divorce. I even recommended her to my sister and several coworkers who have been very satisfied. I found e-mail to her and her office staff to be the most effective form of communication since she is probably so busy from word of mou...th no doubt. when it comes to trust I would trust her with any matter when it comes to my Kids and that speaks volumes. Divorce is no picnic, but she made it less painful for sure.

I was so disappointed by the service I received from Ms. Bristow. Nothing was tended to in a prompt manner, and it is almost impossible to get a phone call or email back. This case is personal and involves my children, and she acted like she never cared at all. Never felt like I had an advocate or so...meone fighting for me. In addition to all that, she has a new assistant is who is so rude and acts like everything is a bother for her. I've also noticed that her assistant seems to be gone a lot so often nobody is answering phones or there to even take a message. Bottom line is nobody at that office cares about you or your case, but they will sure take your money. They don't return phone calls or emails and act put out by every little thing. There are plenty of good family law attorneys in sacramento, I'm sure, but Teresa is NOT one of them.

If you follow her advice, you will get what you’re fighting for. I used her for three services, divorce, child support, and guardianship. Granted it took a long time (2) years for all issues to resolve, but I followed her advice and I have my children and we are so happy. She is very knowledgeable... of family law issues and does not blow smoke and she has no problem going being vocal in the courtroom. She will definitely speak up during court for you. There is so much to say but not enough room. Her rates are competitive and reasonable. I thank God for her help, because without her my children would be miserable still.
