Came across Maureen Baldwin's card at a bail bonds service after being released from Santa Clara County Jail. Did my due diligence and contacted several lawyers but ended up choosing Maureen after hearing her reasoned and realistic assessment of my case. The initial charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon caused my head to spin but she walked me through the process and laid out my options and initial first steps out plainly for me. Her communication with me throughout was prompt - never more than a few hours until she got back to me either by email, text or phone. In the end, the charges ended up being dropped and I can without the slightest doubt honesty say I could not have hoped or received better legal counsel.

I came to Maureen after being charged with driving under the influence of drugs from a motorcycle accident. From the moment I spoke to her about my case, I knew I wanted her to defend me. Although she did not promise any particular outcome, she was reassuring and alleviated a lot of the stress and anxiety I was dealing with. Communication with Maureen was easy; she is immediately responsive with text messages and available same-day I wanted to drop by her office to talk, even though I'm sure she has a very busy schedule. She explained how the entire process works and was there to represent me for every court date.
Maureen seems to have a great relationship with the Santa Clara district attorneys and judges, and was able to get my misdemeanor DUI drugs charge reduced to a much less serious infraction charge of driving too fast for road conditions. There was a point during the process where although they agreed that I wasn't driving under the influence, the DA still wanted to charge me with misdemeanor speeding. She was able to reason with them and I was thankfully never charged with that.
I hope to never have to use Maureen again, but would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone that finds themselves in a bad situation, like I did.

I hired Maureen after I got my first DUI (.09 BAC). I was very nervous and anxious since I have never been in trouble with the law (even as a teen). She thoroughly explained the court proceedings and explained to me in details on what to expect during court arraignment, possible outcome, etc. She was very honest and didn't make any false promises. She is extremely a hard working, experienced attorney who is very familiar with Santa Clara County court system. At the end, she was able to negotiate my charges down to a reduced charge of (wet) reckless driving. This outcome wouldn't have been possible without her assistance! First of all, don't make the same mistake like I made by drinking and driving...because you will eventually get caught!
Use taxi, Uber, or get a motel! But god forbid if you are dumb enough to get a DUI then I highly recommend her services. She will work hard for you and her prices are very reasonable!
