Mr.Rios was the best attorney ever! He was so at tentative and determined to get me the best outcome possible for my case. I was so nervous going into court but Javier is so professional and calming that he made everything seem like it was going to be ok. He is also so honest and has a genuine good... heart, which is very rare among lawyers. When I met Attorney Javier Rios I was immediately impressed by his calm manner and courtesy. . roughly quoting Maya Angilou ... “people may forget what you said, but they will not forget how you made them feel". Although it was late in the day, Mr. Rios gave us his devoted and uninterrupted time. H...e patiently listened to our worries, fears, opinions surrounding the case against our daughter and when we started tripping over each other so in a hurry to tell him the reason why our daughter was worth saving, while venting our anger at the “system”, expressing confusion and concern wondering what was going to happen –Mr. Rios was ATTENTIVE and PRESENT. When we veered off “into the swamp” of needing to know “why this happened” and “fault finding” He was able to bring us back focusing on the goal – keeping our daughter out of jail. His demeanor did not convey boredom or superiority. He listened, asking questions in such a way you knew his focus was on us.. this family sitting in front of him who, were feeling terrified of the thought of our daughter jailed. We met Mr. Rios in San Jose having traveled from SoCal. After we figuratively "regurgitated" our stress in his office, Mr. Rios spoke to each of us. He did not give us “pat” answers, but addressed our concerns with ..knowledge and intelligence. He outlined what he heard from us acknowledging he heard us completely with understanding. After our initial meeting, he had made inquiries. and was able to share new information. However, he did not try and sell himself to us -for hire.. on the contrary, he gave us information in the event we were to decide to not use the services of an attorney. When you find yourself in a situation where your young daughter is about to be incarcerated ..you feel the world is stacked against her,,your mind is muddied.. cloudy, you are exhausted from worry and fear. Mr. Rios was able to bring clarity a bit o peace- by providing us with good understanding of what was ahead for our girl. He did not make “pie in the sky” or false promises but was very honest and transparent as to where there would be “bumps” on our journey and openly able to share when we should be aware of a possible "concern", kept us jointly informed and always allowed the existence of Faith and Hope. I and my ex husband found Mr. Rios mindful and respectful of our time realizing we are a paycheck to paycheck family with unfamiliar travel expenses and attorney fees. We knew attorney “time = money” - IT IS TRUE -you get what you pay for...... He is not a “bargain basement” attorney, BUT HE IS HONEST AND FAIR more than worth his fee and he worked with us helping cut costs where possible - we knew our situation called for the Best professional when he agreed to represent her we put our FAITH and her FATE into Mr. Rios hands. His attention to detail, intel, knowledge of the courts, the law, circumstances involved, and his ethics, trustworthiness are above all expectations. We quickly realized this fee was WORTHY of the recipient our daughter was and is in excellent hands.
