Albie B. Jachimowicz

Albie represented me in a criminal prosecution in 2010. He was referred by a family friend and convinced me that he would fight for me. Once he was on retainer, his main strategy was to simply wait out the case while I was in jail. He never did any of the basic tasks like asking for a bail hearing... or a preliminary hearing. He encouraged me to ignore the sentencing officer and hired a secondary sentencing officer to interview me instead. Ultimately, he sweet talked me into a plea deal which included a serious felony offense and convinced me that the judge would show leniency. At sentencing, the judge essentially ignored all of his arguments and all of the sentencing recommendations of his sentencing officers (duh!), followed the original sentencing recommendations and I did serious time in state prison. At no point did he try to fight the DA or make any serious effort to defend me. I would have been better off with a public defender. I suspect that he was attracted to the prosecutor and just wanted opportunities to impress her. He didn't offer any opportunities for second opinions or map out the different directions that the case could go in. If you have a simple petition or issue which requires legal expertise, then Albie is fine. He did help with (and profit from) some of the subsequent civil matters. But if you need a real lawyer who will actually fight for your rights in the court room, then avoid Albie.

Albie is transparent, trustworthy, and confident. He is a professional who is not focused on financial gain or status. Albie knows the legal system and it is obvious when speaking to him. He was very attentive and matter of fact with my situation. I was having some legal issues and he was very res...ponsive from the very first time I contacted him.
