Poor lawyer, unable to actually fight a case against a real lawyer

Albie represented me in a criminal prosecution in 2010. He was referred by a family friend and convinced me that he would fight for me. Once he was on retainer, his main strategy was to simply wait out the case while I was in jail. He never did any of the basic tasks like asking for a bail hearing... or a preliminary hearing. He encouraged me to ignore the sentencing officer and hired a secondary sentencing officer to interview me instead. Ultimately, he sweet talked me into a plea deal which included a serious felony offense and convinced me that the judge would show leniency. At sentencing, the judge essentially ignored all of his arguments and all of the sentencing recommendations of his sentencing officers (duh!), followed the original sentencing recommendations and I did serious time in state prison. At no point did he try to fight the DA or make any serious effort to defend me. I would have been better off with a public defender. I suspect that he was attracted to the prosecutor and just wanted opportunities to impress her. He didn't offer any opportunities for second opinions or map out the different directions that the case could go in. If you have a simple petition or issue which requires legal expertise, then Albie is fine. He did help with (and profit from) some of the subsequent civil matters. But if you need a real lawyer who will actually fight for your rights in the court room, then avoid Albie.

This client was charged with attempted murder and was facing life imprisonment for conduct which was witnessed by impartial third parties, The victim suffered grave physical and emotional injuries. He simply will not take ownership of his conduct and remains mono manically obsessed with blaming anyone but himself for his conduct. The resolution of his case was phenomenal due to the commitment and expertise of my defense. This client is a brilliant and educated professional who cannot be "sweet talked" into anything. All decisions were made with a full understanding and risk analysis of his case. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can move forward in his life rather than obsess about his own failures and blame of others.

Mr. Jachimowicz took my case without any hesitation after hearing a unjustified matter. He was professorial and expert in the law. He wanted the best result of the case and he showed his result and professionalism. He was very personable and caring. Mr. Jachimowicz was very helpful in handling my family's case fast and efficiently. He always made himself available to answer our questions and concerns, setting our mind at ease.
