I would not hesitate to recommend anyone who needs a divorce lawyer to seek Heather to represent them. Heather came highly recommended by someone who worked in Family Court. Heather spend time understanding my case and answered many of my questions regarding alimony, assets prior to my marriage and s...he worked to understand what the opposing counsel was seeking for in the divorce. With good records and some strategizing she got me the best settlement I could hoped for. Her rates are very reasonable and she and her office staff are very efficient. My case was wrapped up in 11 months from being served with the divorce papers to divorce settlement, saving me money, time and stress. Do I recommend her? Yes, very highly.

As painful of a process divorce can be, Heather has made it as smooth as humanly possible. In our first JCC hearing I was a nervous wreck and she was able to calm my nerves and put my mind at ease. Heather has been very responsive to all matters. There has been times after hours, Late Friday evenings..., holiday weekends, where court orders were not being followed and Heather does everything in her power to see that orders were followed. She has fought tooth and nail for me. If it wasn’t for Heather I would be paying an outrageous amount of money to child support, only have my children every other weekend and more than likely walked away from a house I owned with nothing. I now have a 45/55 split with my children and half of the equity in my house. Heather and her team are very efficient, thorough, and knowledgeable. Words do not do Heather and her team any justice. She has made this difficult process a lot easier to deal with. I would not hesitate in recommending Heather one bit.

She and... her team worked quickly and efficiently to get the orders approved by the court, putting my mind at ease during a difficult time. Her practice is organized and professional. They kept me informed of the progress of the case and sent regular statements itemizing the work that had been done on my case. Ms. Allan gave me an estimate of the costs up front and came in within the quoted amount. Her fees are consistent with what I've paid for similar, high-quality legal help locally. Ms. Allen and her team were compassionate and helpful and above all they got results. It was a positive experience for me and I would not hesitate to give Ms. Allen my strongest recommendation.

When I met Heather during initial consultation for family law case, she seemed like a very articulate person. That changed completely when I hired her for handling my divorce case. It was extremely difficult to reach her over phone, there were 3-4 assistants handling my case every month, and everytim...e I wanted to get in touch with heather and ask her questions regarding the case a new assistant would answer me and I had to tell them the details of the entire case in order get information, as they had no clue what was going on. Also I find Heather has no understanding of other cultures, and I would often find her justifying the other party attorney, often times I would find her influencing me to accept the conditions of other party. going through a divorce is very stressful for more so if you are not in your own country and the lawyer has no understanding of your culture and when you do not know what to expect from the lawyer. I find it very unprofessional that the firm does not keep updated records of their clients address for correspondence. In addition I would be sent the same correspondence multiple times and billed for it. I find it very unfair that a person going through all the emotional upheaval of a bad marriage and divorce has to incur extra stress working with unprofessional attorneys. I would not recommend her.

Heather is a nice person but DO NOT mix nice with a good professional lawyer. she is easily bullied but opposing councel and the judges. She will not stand up for you at all. She and her office makes so many administrative mistakes and the worst part, they charge you for everything. My party practica...lly did all the work for her. She makes up her fees up front and charges a lot of money throughout the case but billing you for stupid things. She doesn't do a good job keeping you informed about anything unless she can find a way to bill you for it. All her correspondence is by mail and shocklingly you get this big bill at the end of the month only to realize there wasn't much material in her correspondence in the first place. She is only about money, not about winning for the client. She definitely doesn't look out for your interest at all. Now I am hearing from other lawyers that she isn't very reputable. She isn't known for winning or known as a good lawyer. She is very easily initmated by other lawyers and judges. She overcharged me on everything, the worst part, ididn't get anything out of my case. In fact I had to let her go and hire another atttorney. She tries to keep up the appearance of a professional lawyer. I think she cares for more on how she looks in her suits and her handbags more. Oh and btw, her taking a vacation during your trial wouldn't bother her the least no matter how important the issue may be. She also needs to hire really good interns and junior attorneys in her office. They are just as bad as her.DONT DONT DONT waste your good money on her. She is not result oriented at all. She should have her attorney priviledges revoked. She needs to go back to law school and work on doing more training with working for more lawyers before she claims to be a partner. How she is a partner is a wonder. Spend more money on someone else and gett better results cause she doesn't care.
