You want her on your side

Heather has been an amazing attorney for me. From the get go she made it clear to me that her approach is to work towards a fair and appropriate dissolution of my marriage. No games and no nonsense. While my Ex-wives attorney prefers to use emotion, make fraudulent accusations about my character, and... accuse me of doing things I have never done Heather has stayed with the facts and the evidence and has continued to point out that the information being provided by the other party is simply not true and without evidence. Her and her entire team have been extremely compassionate and understanding with me. They understand that my budget is limited and have worked with me diligently to keep costs down as low as possible. Their communication with me has been consistent and precise (via e-mail). On the days when I start to freak out and panic about how things are going her entire staff has always taken the extra time to help put things into perspective for me to help me through. And on those days in court when I am as nervous as can be Heather has always shown me the kindness of taking the time to help put me at ease. As for Heathers approach in the court room. She is polite, courteous, and precise. She is not about having the biggest voice or over talking others. She patiently waits until it is her opportunity to speak, renders respect to both the other party and the judge, and what she says she says with confidence and a presence that commands it be heard. If you have done your job and given her the information and facts she requests she will properly utilize it and ensure the truth is heard and proven with out question. Outside of the court room during S.O.C. hearings she strongly advocates for your best interest and when a decision needs to be made by you she gives you the information clean and straight. Heather and her teams document writing is also of an extremely high caliber. They find a way every time to eloquently put things into perspective and make it clear that they are seeking an appropriate dissolution, will not be pushed around, and will not except nonsense at all. I am continually impressed every time I review one of these documents. I suspect Heather is not the least expensive attorney out there but, to be honest, for services I have received I feel as though I have received one heck of a deal over all. If you are looking for an attorney that will work hard, advocate for your best interest, and seek an appropriate dissolution between you and your Ex then there is no better attorney to retain in my opinion. Heather and her entire team are simply amazing people who are extremely good at what they do.

Extremely competent and on point in court

Last year I went through the most stressful time of my life - a custody fight for my 5-year old son. I was assigned a judge that was reputed to side with the party who had the deepest pockets. This really freaked me out as I had a special request to move out of area to a town I could afford to live i...n, my son's father makes 4x the salary that I do, and his family is worth millions. Oh, and he had said he planned to run me out of money. So I did what any scared mom would do... my research. I came across Allan's name a few times, and also in conjunction with my (now retired) judge's name. So I hired her. Yes, she was more expensive than other options but, imo, well worth her weight in gold. She demolished my son's fathers in court. That sounds (and maybe) a little dramatic but the truth is, she was so careful and had so much experience with the process and judge, she seemed to know exactly what to say, when to say it, and when to keep her mouth shut. My son's father went through two lawyers in only a few months to try and compete. The judge never had to scold or lost patience with Allan as she did with the others. There were a couple of things I didn't expect and you need to be aware of. First, he Allan office didn't contact me before the court date to go over details. I now realize that's probably because some people don't want to pay their hourly rate, just to talk. Well, I did, so I had to contact them about it. I was too nervous not too. I didn't know what I should or could be doing to help. I had dug into tons of files and past documents that I thought would help and printed them all out blindly. During that pre-trial time, some extra guidance and communication from her office woukd have been nice. Again, however, I assume they don't because every email and phone call costs $$$ and some clients likely don't want it. Allan ended up using some of the files I'd printed but most were useless, other than the fact that they helped soothe me in the months before the court dates. Another two things to note is, try not to distract Allan during the actual court time. She is trying to listen for things she will need to respond to. And watch her while you're on the stand. She will give you subtle clues and let you know if you're getting too emotional. So, would I recommend Allan for family law? Absolutely... and I wouldn't hesitate to call her again if I need her in the future.

Overall great services and support

Heather and her office made the process of going through TWO restraining orders for me very smooth. She is very attentive to her emails, and was able to explain every step of the way for me. I appreciate that her and her office was able to take care of the extra leg work, (Sheriff's office visits), ...for me when I was unable to due to work constraints to get my name cleared. Thank you!

Received exactly what was expected

Divorce is never an easy decision or an easy process to go through. After meeting with Heather it was clear that she was experienced and knew exactly what to do. I appreciated her candidness and straightforward approach. Working with her and her team is extremely easy and everyone was supportive of ...me. All my questions were answered thoroughly and timely. It made this whole ordeal less stressful and was over quickly. I would highly recommend Heather to anyone needed family law services.

Heather Allan - my best decision for my divorce

I would not hesitate to recommend anyone who needs a divorce lawyer to seek Heather to represent them. Heather came highly recommended by someone who worked in Family Court. Heather spend time understanding my case and answered many of my questions regarding alimony, assets prior to my marriage and s...he worked to understand what the opposing counsel was seeking for in the divorce. With good records and some strategizing she got me the best settlement I could hoped for. Her rates are very reasonable and she and her office staff are very efficient. My case was wrapped up in 11 months from being served with the divorce papers to divorce settlement, saving me money, time and stress. Do I recommend her? Yes, very highly.
