Immigration Status for my wife

My wife entered the US illegally and Sean got my wife a green card in five months start to finish! My wife and I visited Sean to see if she could get a green card using the I-601 waiver. During the appointment Sean asked us a lot of questions and learned that my I had served in the military. Sean sai...d that we might qualify for the hardship waiver, but that we didn't have a lot of hardship evidence and that because I served in the military that my wife could get something called parole-in-place for military spouses and get a green card much faster and easier that way. Sean filed the parole-in-place application and about a month later my wife got parole. Then that made it possible for my wife to adjust status as the spouse of my US citizen husband. The adjustment part took four months. Now my wife's case is approved and she's a permanent resident. She did not have to leave the US to get her US residence. Sean asked a lot of questions and was careful to find the easiest path for her instead of the most obvious one that we initially came in for. That saved a lot of time and money and also saved a nerve wracking trip outside of the US to get a visa at the consulate. We have a young daughter and I worked long hours, so getting legal status for me was very important to our family. I recommend Sean to all because he is trustworthy lawyer and performed an awesome quality work on my wife's immigration case.

Great Advice

I contacted Sean to consult regarding a complicated immigration situation was in. Sean gave me great amount of time in providing free consultation. Upon Sean's suggestion, I made paperwork ready, contacted immigration and submitted paperwork they asked for (which was exactly what Sean had recommende...d). I thank Sean for helping me out gratuitously while I obtained peace of my mind by carrying out the action.

Excellent,professional and clear

My wife and I approached Sean's office on a specific issue that needed immediate attention. Sean's assistant was courteous and set up an appointment at very short notice. He was transparent on what he felt was the best course of action while weighing pros and cons.Highly recommended,-professional and... very knowledgeable.

A H1b visa issue....

I engaged Sean for an employment based immigration related issue, and I am very satisfied with his work. Specifically, his charges were very reasonable, and he appeared to be genuinely interested in the outcome of my case.

A HOPELESS LAWYER

I started to speak to this lawyer. Immediately he started interrupting me over and over to hear me out about the strong legal terms. He just wanted to know if he can make money out from me. I was scared and shy to speak to an attorney in the first place. Instead of giving me a free consultation, h...e wanted to know what the end was? I again told him I'm getting to that...I told him that our conversation is just 10 mins long. He just kept on pressuring me to give him terms on discrimination. I felt here I'm trying to give him details on wrongful management and unfair treatment, but who am I speaking to, a wall, who ll only go about their own way. I will not at all refer this lawyer because he sounds very very immature, young, no patience and in return made me very upset due to the fact of not hearing my unfair treatment of working for an IT firm for almost 2 years, and gotten goals met after a difficult and discrimination nature of boss. Then created ways for wrongful termination

I am sorry that this person did not enjoy speaking with me and I'm sorry that I couldn't help her or represent her. I offer a free consultation up to 45 minutes and so if the caller doesn't get through the important parts in 25 minutes or so, I don't have time to discuss the rules and ask questions. I certainly don't mean to be terse with people, but sometimes I need to push people along to get to the legally-relevant parts. I can only provide a limited number of free consultations because I also have work to do for my current clients.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
