Vincent Ross Maher

I hired Vincent for an out of county DUI. He was not very effective because he did not know the background of local judges. Apparently, the judge I had never ruled against the police department for any motion to suppress. Also, before my motion to suppress, Vincent told me it had been continued. T...he day of, he told me it was going forward, and there was no way for me to make it on time (I lived four hours away). Then he blamed me for not appearing. I’m sure he did the best he could, as I know he is a great trial lawyer, but I should have hired a local attorney to move to disqualify the judge. I was also disappointed at how slow discovery was given to us, and believe they withheld dash cams from us (they claimed only 1 of the 3 dashcams worked). Also, the breathalyzer malfunctioned and those records were never requested. At the same time, you can’t really blame the attorney for trying hard on your case when you pay a small retainer of $5k and expect a great defense. Solo practitioners are busy. In the middle of my representation, I remember he wanted to get an offer for wet reckless. I ended up hiring another attorney who did that for me in less than one month, after Vincent lost the motion to suppress. Vincent is a great trial lawyer, but in my case, it worked against me.

I don’t know about you, but the thought of being charged and convicted of a crime is unsettling. It’s because it can be life changing and derail your whole future. I found myself in a predicament and called Vince without a thought. He won't sugar coat the circumstances and definitely keeps it real. H...e’s experienced, relentless and highly intelligent. To what ever extent within the scope of law he will fight for a favorable outcome for you. I’m not quite sure what exactly he does in the court room..I heard he walks in fast and walks out and he gets results —- period. I wouldn’t know I never had to go to court.. His office secretary Cheryl is so helpful and they return calls and emails almost immediately. He even called me sick from a hospital appointment. I would tend to get panicked so he would just reassure me. Thank you, Vince

Vincent Maher was highly recommended as legal counsel for a friend. This was a high-profile case. Vince is very straight-forward and knowledgeable, and kept me informed of any ongoing changes and answered any questions I had regarding the case. He is very professional and his expertise was way... beyond what I had expected. Because of his competency, my friend's sentence was drastically reduced. Vince has given my friend a second chance at life. I am so, so grateful to have had Vince as our lawyer. Hired Mr. Maher few days after being cited for DUI. To be honest I was pretty frustrated with the communication out of his office going into the DMV hearing. I also had a concussion and was pretty jumpy tho so it could've been partly my fault. Anyways, we won the DMV Hearing based on what was found o...n the officers body cam footage, evidence which I believe Mr. Maher himself had subpoenaed (could've been the DMV), which is very rare (10% or less from what I've read). This gives us a lot of momentum going into the prelim and after watching Mr. Maher question the police officer I have complete faith that he can close the deal and get this charge dismissed. As of this moment I'm definetly glad I hired him because I have an actual chance that I wouldn't have had if I didn't. I will update this review once the case is completed and let y'all know how it turned out.
