A Generous Professional

Excellent, thoughtful representation.

I initially contacted Mr. Szucsko and his firm for help in obtaining a restraining order against someone who was harassing me and my family. The firm went out of its way to not only help us, to but to patiently explain the legalese throughout the entire process, and to explain our choices, pro and con, whenever they arose. Thanks to this firm, we successfully obtained the restraining order, which gave us immense peace of mind. When this same person tried to bring a lawsuit against me a year later, the firm again did exactly what they did the first time: Provided us with excellent representation, and successfully got the lawsuit thrown out, with prejudice. Both Mr Szucsko and one of his associates, Ms. Hannah Salassi, were fantastic in their abilities to guide us through both of these painful situations, to do so with thoughtfulness and our well-being in mind, and to respond to everything in a prompt and totally reliable manner. We always felt like we were in good hands, and getting the information we needed to make informed decisions. I would wholeheartedly recommend this firm to anyone in similar circumstances, and would not hesitate to use them again myself.

Restraining Order

Went on 4 dates with a woman who planned a pregnancy, money extortion, phone and text threats. Terry and his team took my declarations text messages screenshots and built a case that the court immediately granted a temporary restraining order. Serving this woman was a challenge as she had left California to another state, so the team hired a fantastic private investigator who gathered all the information needed to locate her. She was successfully served and the court granted a domestic violence restraining order for 5 years. Excellent job in brining justice to this case. If I did nothing about it my baby would have been born with this violent woman who clearly planned this. I highly recommend working with Terry and his team - they are experts in restraining orders family law. I was able to build a case and work with them online while visiting my family overseas.

Extremely professional, knowledgeable and always available

I was going through a very traumatic experience. Just got back from abroad where my Mom passed away, my husband hit me with the news that he wanted a divorce and was ready for me to leave our house and our cat. As a way of compensation he was offering to buy me a new cat. I was shocked and frozen, could not understand what was happening. Until a friend of mine gave me Terry's email and phone number. As soon as he heard what was happening, on the phone, he was quick to explain what I was entitled to and what my rights were. And the amazing thing is that, later on, he worked out a wonderful financial deal for me and that my husband was way too happy to sign off on. Therefore we ended up reaching an agreement very quickly, and without the need of the opposite side's lawyer. Terry and his team are on your side, and they have the ability to de-escalate even the hardest situation. He is diplomatic, yet firm in his determination to protect his clients, and the result is that I was able to resolve everything in a much smoother way than I expected at the beginning, and in a very short time.

Excellent for Prenuptial Agreement

Terry came highly recommended by a family friend and did a fantastic job with my prenup. I compared 4 or 5 attorneys before deciding to hire him. He made the first consultation easy to schedule. Terry took time to listen, ask questions and tailor his advice to my individual situation. He built trust by being patient with even basic questions. He was flexible and adapted his services to mine and fiancé's preferences regarding face to face discussions, negotiations and online meetings. In fact, it was no trouble working with him using various digital tools, which was valuable when the COVID19 shelter in place started. To summarize, Terry was professional, competent, reliable and sharp. I am completely happy with the resulting prenuptial agreement.

Highly Recommend

I hired Terry to work on a fairly unique case that many other attorneys I contacted seemed to have no knowledge of (or just had bad advice for). Terry's patience and knowledge on the matter guided me gracefully throughout the process, which was quite long. At points when difficult decisions needed to be made, Terry was always in my corner and he never tried to push me in one direction or the other. I felt as if Terry truly cared about my best interest. He also provided honest and thoughtful feedback during multiple confusing scenarios, and helped immensely with the critical thinking involved in my case. I also genuinely enjoyed working with him because of his great personality – never thought anyone would be able to make me laugh in the courthouse (a pretty depressing place to be), but he was always able to put me at ease! I would highly recommend Terry to anyone.

Honest Advice

I’m in the initial stages of a potential divorce. Terry was referred to me by another attorney with the introduction of “this is the guy you need advising you”. My attorney was right, Terry is fantastic. He’s provided me straight forward guidance, advice on how to protect myself and my assets, and told me that once I get to a certain point to give him a call and he’ll step-in to start the divorce process. There was no pressure to provide a retainer, or to do anything in my relationship to either save my marriage or file for divorce, just honest advice. He also didn’t sugar coat the fact that things could get ugly, and walked me through a few scenario’s and how to handle them before I retain Terry’s counsel.

Straight forward and informative

I spoke with Terry to get some guidance about how my rights regarding to community property in the event of divorce. Terry asked a number of questions and provided a high level assessment of my rights and potential course of action. I found the meeting to be very helpful.

After divorce Mortgage question

I called for guidance on how I can have my name off a joint mortgage loan with my ex-husband. Terry had called me the same day and was very informative. My case is an out of state case but he was still able to give me some direction on the process.

Very helpful with great advice

Terry S. Is an awesome lawyer. I had an issue dealing with a custody case regarding my one year old son. I contacted Terry over the phone and without haste he started giving advice and information on things to expect. He then told me if my case gets to a certain point come down and see him in person (Witch I think says a lot!) Guess what folks... It got to that point were I needed to see him. I gave Terry another call and his assistant made an appointment with no questions asked. (The big meeting) Meet with Terry and he was confident and had so much insight/knowledge on my situation that I felt I could trust him with being my Lawyer. He didn't ask for any funds or retainers just yet... I thought it was shocking. He proceeded to tell me to wait till it escalated past mediation to move forward with the case. I greatly appreciated his time and patience. End results was I and the other practitioner came to an agreement that did not require legal help. Thank you Terry for being in my corner.

Competent and Professional

I was referred to Terry by another law office as a restraining order specialist. He lived up to that endorsement, and throughout the process showed both technical knowledge and pragmatic wisdom. one of my best experiences with a lawyer

I hired Terry after having worked with a different lawyer for about a year. It was a day and night difference between my previous lawyer and Terry. Where as my previous lawyer was missing appointments and generally unresponsive, Terry was very upfront about what to expect and was always there to answer questions. Once Terry and team took over my divorce case, things moved very quick. He and his team were always on top of things and helped me navigate through the process well.

Excellent experience

I have had a very positive experience working with Terry and his practice on my divorce case. All of them are very knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. What is especially important, this team treats the clients as humans, and not billable hours of work. I will never forget that it was Terry who became the first person to offer me real help when I came to him in absolute despair because of my ex-husband actions (and he was not the first lawyer I talked to, so I am able to compare). I wanted to appreciate specifically extreme transparency with regard to clients money demonstrated by this practice. I always knew what my retainer was used for, never felt overcharged, and got the remainder back as soon as my case was over. Overall, highly recommended.

Great experience working with Terry

I was referred to Terry and decided to hire him as I talked to him on the phone. Terry was able to get things straight within an extremely short amount of time, and he understood my interests and options. High Expertise, Very Responsive, Great Value

My wife and I used Terry to help us with a complicated Pre-Nup. This was the second marriage for one of us and presented unusual and difficult issues. Terry adapted an existing agreement to work for our needs. He was responsive to our concerns and receptive to our input. His work reflected a high level of subject area knowledge. Review of Terry Szucsko

Throughout my divorce case from the very beginning Terry had placed my concerns and needs first. I had a difficult and trying experience during this time, and Terry was able to assist me in obtaining fair custody of my two children as well as exposing elements of our finances and property that were in my favor. During the entire time I felt as if I was dealt with fairly and that my interests were always first and foremost in his mind. Terry's level of communication was excellent and he kept me in the loop explaining to me what my options were. At no time did Terry ever overpromise and underdeliver, in fact it was quite the opposite and Terry had always come through for me. I cannot speak highly enough of his services as an attorney and I highly recommend him to represent anyone in need of his services.
