Geoffrey Martin Murry

I bring a deep level of expertise in a variety of practice areas with a distinctive focus on real estate litigation.  My experience includes representing parties in disputes related to easements, encroachments by trees and structures, nuisances, real estate transactions, TICs (tenancies in common), real property title, and commercial leases.  If a fight arises over real property, I likely am able to provide competent, cost-effective, and compassionate counsel and representation.

I have a proven record litigating complex, challenging matters in both state and federal courts for businesses, families and individuals. I have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law, and my clients have included lenders and borrowers, developers, owners, neighbors, tradespeople, buyers and sellers. I am a skilled negotiator, assisting both vendors and purchasers in residential and commercial real estate transactions arising from disputes.

I am committed to utilizing the law to craft creative solutions for stakeholders of all sizes. I am passionate about upholding community and individual property rights and obligations. I dedicate my practice to elevating the lawyer–client relationship to ensure accessible, client-focused representation for every matter, regardless of the complexity. My experience includes trying cases to a favorable outcome, as well as arbitrations and mediations.

Prior to joining Ad Astra Law Group, I was a partner in HendricksMurry, P.C.  I was named a 2008, 2013 and 2014 “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine and have been published in several legal journals and publications.

I serve as secretary of the board of directors of San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind and of a related real property investment trust; and I participate in various professional and civic organizations, including Lambda Legal, Access Institute for Psychological Services, Human Rights Watch and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF).
