30 Years in Limbo....Dismissed

Thirty years ago I chose to take care of a family issue rather than appear on two tickets. Being a wife, mother, daughter, employee, grandmother, and great-grandmother I kept on taking care of "issues" rather than tickets. Weeks became months, months became years and tickets became warrants. For fe...ar of being arrested, I became "low profile". I tried to hire an attorney at 3 different firms but no one would take my case. Bottom line {this paragraph}, I have been eligible to collect social security for eight years but thought the warrants prevented me doing so and I am sure I should get a physical but don't have insurance for the same reason. Time to address "MY" issue. I checked out the internet for attorneys and after an hour or so I realized I kept going back to CCDA for more info. I felt good vibes. Keep in mind I haven't had the best self-esteem and haven't been easily impressed, so when I called I wasn't expecting a lot. However, the receptionist who answered was very pleasant. She expressed the need to have a little information so she could get "the right person for me". When she connected me with Kit Westbrook I was gratefully surprised and relieved to find him nonjudgemental and empathetic. Without a lot of repetition, he seemed to totally listen and understand where I was coming from. Then by him asking just the right questions, he knew what was needed. He was upfront about the possibilities of jail time and fines but he was also supportive and encouraged me to get this settled. It was maybe a 30-minute phone conversation but I hung up believing all would be well. I believe it was the next day when he called back. He had wanted to check out my warrants to see what needed to be done and if they were still current. They were. He told me his fee [which was less than it should be] and in the next couple of days, the case was on put on a calendar. About 3 to 3 and a half weeks later Kit called one more time....."Susan, are you ready for good news"? "Your case was dismissed! Totally gone. Never to be brought up again." I love You Kit!

I lost my license for 4 years due to a ticket out of my area that was 4K. Not being able to afford most attorneys I had spoken to I felt doomed until Kit agreed to help me at an affordable rate...He gave no promises but boy did he deliver...Just got my license back thanks to cCCD's team...God Bless ...You!
