Ms. Barrios is a Christian attorney who received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine in Political Science. Later Ms. Barrios received her Masters Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University. Ms. Barrios ended her 9 year educational career with a juris doctorate from Trinity Law School and passed the bar shortly thereafter.
After passing the bar, and prior to opening her own law firm Ms. Barrios felt it was important to give back to the community by working as a non-paid volunteer for the Public Law Center in Santa Ana, Ca where she provided services to low income residents.
In 2010, Ms. Barrios started Barrios & Machado with her husband, Guillermo Machado.
Toegther, they have helped hundreds of individuals and families with their legal problems. Whether facing debt, foreclosure or suffering a car accident, Barrios & Machado is always prepared to fight for her clients and help them achieve their goals through the use of State and Federal laws.
Ms. Barrios has extensive courtroom experience and has established a solid reputation and rapport with the bankruptcy trustees and judges who oversee bankruptcy cases.
Ms. Barrios works with all her clients on a one-to-one basis and, unlike other law firms, clients always have complete access to her and her talented team.

GREAT HELP
Dear Ursula, I want to thank you for your amazing help in our Chapter 13 case. We are so happy that you were able to strip our second mortgage and fought the fight because our 2nd mortgage was so close to be secured, yet you were still able to get it eliminated. We now have a fresh start and a new...

Bankruptcy
When I filed for banruptcy they were quick to take my money, if they are in business so many years as they said they were they would of informed me regarding the taxes submitted to them, they are to review every documentation before sending it to the court and this case they did not. I would not rec...
When helping our bankruptcy clients, preparing taxes or investigating suspected tax fraud is not one of the services we are retained to perform. We trust that our clients are truthful with their financial affairs (taxes) and with the court and always give them the benefit of the doubt that their taxes purport to comply with their duties to all tax authorities. When informing clients of how certain trustees react when presented with certain issues, there are generally always ways to resolve the issue. After presenting this resolution and options to the client, they decide how they wish to proceed and we cannot force them either way. Should they not wish to accept our sound advice, then there is little we can do to help them from that point. As for Barrios & Machado "being quick to take money", our law firm has handled hundreds of successful bankruptcy cases, from simple to very complicated. We have taken many pro bono cases and offer low fees to those who truly cannot afford our reasonably-priced services. We offer long-term payment plans to those who have no other option. Our track record with the court and our clients is stellar. One poor review from debtors who were/are suspected of years of tax fraud by the bankruptcy court does not blemish our reputation as upstanding attorneys and any such allegations border on libelous.

Beware
I would like to warn anyone to NOT use this law office. I have had nothing but bad experiences with the office in Montebello, I paid all my fees (over 8 months ago)to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy and over 8 months later I am still waiting for my case to go through. Everytime I call, I get the r...
As for the above posting: the Montebello law office which was run by other attorneys prior to Ursula Barrios' association with that office has nothing to do with Ursula Barrios as an attorney or the level or quality of service she provides. She left the Montebello office because of this very reason and has since opened her solo practice in Orange County where her turnaround times for bankruptcy filings are typically 2 weeks after client pays in full. Ask anyone in the industry or anone who has ever filed bankruptcy, and they will agree that these times are lightening fast. Ursula Barrios and the Montebello law office are not one in the same and no longer have any association with each other, so please do not confuse or connect the two. I would recommend Ursula Barrios to anyone needing a good, honest lawyer. She has won several major battles in the California Federal Courts as well as State Courts, and she is one of the best attorneys I have ever known.
