Arthur John Lacilento

I am currently involved in a Juvenile Dependency proceeding that has been ongoing since July of 2019. During the first 2 months of the case, I had no choice but to tolerate use of the "court appointed" attorney that was assigned to me. When finally able to retain my own private counsels, I decided to... retain Mr. LaCilento, as he was highly recommended by other attorneys during my then search for a counsel. After my consultation, i was definitely convinced i was making the right decision for legal representation. Arthur is tremendously knowledgeable in Juvenile Law. Despite being hired halfway into my case, he's been able to prevent me from being thrown out of my case with no rights anymore, reinstate my visitation & even filed a motion to have parentage established with the judge ruling in my favor of the motion, granted me Presumed Father status, thus now giving me standing in this proceeding. He ended up saving not on my son & I from eternal separation, but my family entirely as a whole & for that I'm forever indebted. In a court proceeding like this, with all the corruption that goes on (yup i said it), i highly recommended Mr. LaCilento. He will fight for you, especially if he believes in you. He's aggressive and doesn't get intimidated by these corrupt social workers & judges. His passion for justice and keeping families together is not only very admirable, but helped me realize that I wasn't in this battle solo anymore.

I had been previously divorced and had been taken to the cleaners. I was unaware of how bad I had been taken advantage of by my first attorney and my ex until I hired Mr. LaCilento. He came in, cleaned up the mess, and went to work changing the custody agreement and deficiencies in child support. Thi...s ultimately extended and increased my child support payments. He also went after arrears which was to my benefit. He and his wife make a great team. They went to bat for me, educated me on the law, and utilized doctors reports and past history to obtain child support for my adult special needs child. At times I felt discouraged and defeated, but Mr. LaCilento assured me this was a stepping stone and would benefit me in the long run. It took 2 years, but he was right. He was fair on the price for his services and worked with me on payments. I am eternally grateful to him and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a divorce or family law attorney.

To give a little back round on the logistics of my case first. I was involved in a bitter custody battle with my x wife for 2 years and investigated 2 times by CPS receiving letters unfounded for sexual abuse and abuse etc. The investigation was very complex, ranging from police to social workers a...nd all the claims were found to be untrue against me. Then I proceeded to a 3 day trial in family court in DTLA where the Judge decided I was a good father and the allegations of sex abuse and abuse never occurred.I was awarded joint custody with my X wife. 1 month later CPS came to my door and told me they were taking my child away because they believed I sexually abused my child. I was now in Dependency court, which by the way I have never knew existed. Think about it, I just finish family court which was very costly then I arrive in another court on the same charges. My first thought was Res judicata. How do you charge a person on the same charges that were already litigated by a prior Judge in a different court. My next thought was does this have to do with me being a Black male in America???? At that point I hired Arthur John Lacilento, and I was very skeptical because he is built like a Ford Truck, Tuff. Meaning he has a strong head and if you hire him you need to follow him down that road. It was very hard to snap in line when he called me on my bullshit or put me in line with his plan, and the plan was to win. I was so proud that City Counsel, Minor's counsel, X wife lawyer could not even get off a question without Art objecting and making them all look like fools. Bottom line is this Lawyer is hands down worth every cent. He won the case and reunited me with my daughter after almost a year. I asked for expedited trial but city always seems to try bleed you with appearances for 3 hours send you back home to make sure your still kicking lol. I think I had go that court like 20 times this year, and then 2 day trial. When its all said and done I will refer Art to anyone looking for a Winner, This man saved my life and brought my 9 year old daughter back in my life all charges dismissed. Don't ever ever take a deal in Dependency court if Arthur John Lacilento is representing you. City tried to offer me more deals then Black Friday and I laughed Because I knew Art was with me to the end. Thank you Art, and when they read my history they will say all charges dismissed. First, I would like to say if you are reading reviews for an attorney such as Art, that you are probably feeling worried and have some very difficult times to work through. Rest assured that you do not need to Search anymore. I understand how this feels and was there as well, I spent hours and... days researching and reviewing lawyers to find the most skilled help I could. I had two previous lawyers and I truly wish I had Art and his expertise to begin with. The law he specializes in requires a truly unique knowledge, a heart of gold, and a man that will fight for what matters the most! I was terrified and in the most difficult time of my life. I was blessed to find Art as a referral from another attorney, Shaun McMillan. There is nothing more important in this world than my family. I spoke to Art and his wife Susan at length prior to retaining. I felt comfortable and entrusted them throughout this process and they were with me every step of the way, with a true dedication and focus to me as a client and my needs. Art is a fighter, and he is a kind man that does not allow anyone to push him around. Like many other reviewers have said, if he believes in you he will fight for you.! Also, he is honest and will tell you the truth. If he knows you are wrong he will tell you. I cannot say enough about the integrity and compassion this firm exudes. Art is the best attorney I have ever had and the only attorney I will ever need to retain!

I hired Art over a year ago. Him & his team sue & virdie have been a blessing in mine & my childrens lives. I have had everything from familt to civin & criminal court. Art has been there 100%. Trust me when i say a lot of court dates. Art has won every single case. He is an amazing man i can never t...hank him & his team enought.
