Gifted Lawyer

Many years ago I worked with Mr. Talmo as a fellow law professor. This lasted several years. Ron and I often disagreed, but we often agreed. I found Ron to be extremely intelligent, a great speaker, possessing great integrity, great loyalty, great attitude, and gifted with his commitment to law and h...is clients and students. When lawyers claim "I'll fight for you," ... maybe. But Ron will. He is a dynamic personality. A few years ago, I queried Ron about potentially helping me. When it became clear, the wisest course for me was not litigation, Ron told me and accepted no offered payment. We were not the best of friends, but I viewed him as certainly among the best of the best lawyers. He is a real "tough guy," with an uncompromising sense of ethics and law. I give him my highest recommendation. I noticed a couple of reviews were not favorable. Ron does not "beat around the bush," and I can see how he might rub some people wrong. That is he because he has integrity, and calls it like it is. He is truly a gifted lawyer!

He doesn't know the law

For a guy who said he owns the road when I park on the street by his place to finish my meal before work. I don't think he can represent the law. Bad personality, even pulled the "I will call the cop" card to a guy who obviously holding a bowl of rice and eating in his car. Are you even a human? Mr. ...Ronald Talmo? Shameful 70 y.o person. It was a hot day today and I just wanted to find some shade to eat in my car, right after 1 minute, this guy ran out and force me to park somewhere else and said "respect the neighborhood, buddy". What is wrong with you? A guy eating in his car didn't respect the neighborhood???? You should be thankful that I'm not those manic people who harm people. Peace be with you, Mr Ronald Talmo. Live is short, don't be a d.ck

Our street block is resident paid permit parking only. It is clearly posted NO STOPPING without a city permit. Eating in the car is not an exception. This guy only had to move thirty feet to the next block, but said he wouldn't do so. I am a retired law school professor. Municipal parking law is not complicated. The car either has a permit or it doesn't. The car is either stopped or it is moving.

Great teacher, great lawyer

Ron was my constitutional law professor. I was a full time student and Ron only taught at night to the part timers. My regular professor was so bad I'd go to Ron's class at night on my own time. He not only explained the law, but he was tremendously entertaining. Con law was my favorite class. I beca...me a Public Defender and he did a criminal trial in my court related to his work with the abortion clinic. One less case on my caseload. This guy knows his stuff. I'm retired now so I'll have to call him up and see if he's available for lunch. I can't believe he has only been a lawyer 4 years longer than I have. My only choices were consultation or hire. If I needed a layer, I would hire him without hesitation.

all bluster, no substance

Seeing his high rating shows me how inaccurate these sites are. He will come up with a flawed strategy then not even follow it. He gives you cliche answers like " I won't ask questions I don't have the answers to" but he doesn't even know the questions much less the answers! More importantly, he doe...sn't care about them. In my case, I pointed out all of my concerns to him. He insisted they weren't relevant. But then he became all flustered when confronted by their importance AT THE HEARING! Plus, when he failed to ask questions properly(i.e. wrong time frame or person etc.) he wouldn't even try to rehabilitate them once I frantically pointed them out to him(by note). Then he had the gall to blame me for his lazy, inept handling of my case. He will intentionally lead you down the path that is easiest and cheapest for HIM forcing you into a compromise that you never should have or would have had to accept had you'd never hired him in the first place. BUT THEN HE GETS TO CALL THIS COMPROMISE A WIN on his website. Don't trust him with your license(or anything else). Don't be fooled by his credentials or confidence. And don't be disarmed either by his sweet(and she really is) little adoring wife when she answers the door to his office/home. It's not her fault I'm sure she doesn't realise she is just a prop in his charade.

Don't lie in court. It is that simple. If the hearing officer finds that you are lying, you will and should lose.

"When I was a law student well over 20 years ago, I took a summer Advanced Constitutional Law class taught by Professor Talmo. It was my favorite class. His enthusiasm for constitutional law was contagious; I recall he brought pictures he had taken of the places around the country that were the subject of landmark decisions. I imagine he brings this same enthusiasm, and depth of knowledge, to his current cases."

"Ron is one of the most respected and well regarded attorneys in his field. I have used him on several occasions to assist my clients with their professional license issues. They have all universally praised him for his knowledge, professionalism, and for his skillful advocacy. He has always been responsive with my concerns and questions, and have helped my clients navigate their way thru byzantine and cumbersome bureaucratic licensing processes. I absolutely endorse this lawyer!"

"I endorse this lawyer. I have been practicing law in Southern California for nearly twenty years. I that time I have never met a more knowledgeable and conscientious lawyer than Mr. Talmo. As the former dean of the local law school, Mr. Talmo is extremely well received in the legal community. I have often heard judges deferentially refer to him as "Dean" Talmo. His courtroom presentations are as fine as any lawyer I have ever seen practice. While it is always clear that Dean Talmo is the authority on whatever subject he is addressing, he has a knack for presenting his position in a manner that is neither predantic nor condecending. Further, his straght forward, honest approach in dealing with his cients is something that all lawyers should emulate. Anyone with a legal issue would be lucky to have dean Talmo has his lawyer."
