I have done virtually everything a lawyer can do from contract drafting, to murder trials, to military trials, to civil and criminal appeals, to private judging, to testifying as an expert on lawyer competence, to teaching law school, etc. I have met some amazing people along the way who I proudly say are my friends. There are over 2,000 lawyers here in California who know me as "Dean" or "Professor" Talmo. I have instructed judges at conferences for administrative law judges (Children as Witnesses), superior court judges and appellate court justices (Legal logic). I have been a featured speaker for the Orange County Bar Association, Orange County Women Lawyer's Association, The Orange County Federal Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Criminal Courts Bar Association, the State Bar of California and numerous other lawyer groups.
My practice is relatively limited now. I represent all applicants and state licensed professionals who are facing license denial or discipline from their respective agencies or Departments (Nursing, Real Estate, Contractors, Day Care, etc.). I also represent businesses that are facing loss of USDA/SNAP vendor privileges or Conditional Use Permit (CUP) denials.
Several years ago I restarted my life after the sudden death of my wife. I spent a lot of time traveling and met a wonderful lady in Viet Nam while I was visiting my best client and closest friend. After many air miles, Ava and I married there. She is now a US citizen. We share a beautiful home here in Santa Ana where she is the official client greeter. When you visit me, come hungry. Ava is a very good cook.

all bluster, no substance
Seeing his high rating shows me how inaccurate these sites are. He will come up with a flawed strategy then not even follow it. He gives you cliche answers like " I won't ask questions I don't have the answers to" but he doesn't even know the questions much less the answers! More importantly, he doe...
Don't lie in court. It is that simple. If the hearing officer finds that you are lying, you will and should lose.
"When I was a law student well over 20 years ago, I took a summer Advanced Constitutional Law class taught by Professor Talmo. It was my favorite class. His enthusiasm for constitutional law was contagious; I recall he brought pictures he had taken of the places around the country that were the subject of landmark decisions. I imagine he brings this same enthusiasm, and depth of knowledge, to his current cases."
"Ron is one of the most respected and well regarded attorneys in his field. I have used him on several occasions to assist my clients with their professional license issues. They have all universally praised him for his knowledge, professionalism, and for his skillful advocacy. He has always been responsive with my concerns and questions, and have helped my clients navigate their way thru byzantine and cumbersome bureaucratic licensing processes. I absolutely endorse this lawyer!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Ron Talmo is a brilliant attorney with a vast amount of experience writing appeals. He is well-known and well-respected by lawyers and judges alike and I would trust him completely with any case that he handles."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have been practicing law in Southern California for nearly twenty years. I that time I have never met a more knowledgeable and conscientious lawyer than Mr. Talmo. As the former dean of the local law school, Mr. Talmo is extremely well received in the legal community. I have often heard judges deferentially refer to him as "Dean" Talmo. His courtroom presentations are as fine as any lawyer I have ever seen practice. While it is always clear that Dean Talmo is the authority on whatever subject he is addressing, he has a knack for presenting his position in a manner that is neither predantic nor condecending. Further, his straght forward, honest approach in dealing with his cients is something that all lawyers should emulate. Anyone with a legal issue would be lucky to have dean Talmo has his lawyer."
"I have associated with Ron on several cases over the years. He is an outstanding individual and attorney, with great legal skills and the highest moral character. I recommend him without reservation."
