Go see Kristine

I have found working with Kristine to be extremely helpful. She is thorough and detail oriented and seems to love a challenge. I have some unusual financial issues due to an ex-wife and she has been very resourceful and creative when finding options for me to explore. She has significantly helped... me protect my assets from improper debt and collection activities. I highly recommend talking with Kristine at Kyllander Law to see what she can do for you in any difficult situation.

Fantastic Attorney!

I had met with three other bankruptcy attorneys before finding Kristine and what a breath of fresh air she turned out to be! Every other law firm had me meeting with support staff and sales people for most of the consultation and I was limited to just a few minutes with the actual attorney. At the ...consultation with Kristine, she spent over an hour with me going through my different options and discussing possibilities for getting rid of my second mortgage that none of the other offices even mentioned. She really took the time to listen to me and find out where my priorities are and she was honest enough not to sugar coat any of my problems without being condescending or judgmental about my mistakes. I did decide to hire her and am so glad that I did! At my 341 meeting, I saw the trustee admonish other attorneys and continue multiple cases because paperwork was missing or the attorney didn't do their job right. In my case, my meeting took less than 5 minutes and I was excused from having to appear again at the confirmation hearing because my Plan was prepared correctly. I would recommend Kristine Kyllander to anyone who is even thinking about filing bankruptcy!

Bad Attitude.. Don't care of clients

I spoke to her about my financial situation and she acts really nice the first time I met her but I know how these lawyers are and I was right when I tested her. At the second appt I did two tests on her just to see what kind of person she really was. First test before the end of my appt I told her I... left my check book at home and that I would bring it later that day. Right after I said that you could see her face expression just change and she didn't even bother to get up to say bye when we left but she did during our initial meeting. Second test, I brought the check to her and told her that we might just go talk to the credit card companies to work it out because she said most likely we can not do Chapter 7 and WOW she flipped out and said I still have to pay her $500 for 1 hr of her time. So I said I don't know any lawyer that charges $500 for 1hr of there time and this is not even court time. Then she said she charges $195 an hour so I said thats fair I'll pay you $195 for the hr plus the credit check she did which was $50 so I offered her $300 which I thought was more then fair but she was going off the wall. Then I got pissed and said did I sign any paperwork that stated the $500 fee? And she said yes, so I asked her to bring that paperwork out and she never did. I mean she never even mention the $500 fee and we NEVER signed anything. I'm so glad I tested her because I didn't want this to happen when we really started the BK process. Very bad customer service. If she was nice I would still refer her my friends and family but the way she acted I would never refer her anybody. She's cold blooded. I mean people go to her because they're having financial trouble but she doesn't care. She still charges $500 which is a lot of money for people that's in financial stress.

My office charges a non-refundable deposit of $500 at the second client meeting. By the end of this appointment an attorney (not a legal assistant or sales person) has spent over two hours with you and has incurred the costs of your credit counseling ($49) as well as for obtaining your credit report ($50). I ask clients to sign an initial consultation agreement at the FREE consultation where it clearly states that if the client wishes to use my services, they will be required to pay the non-refundable deposit of $500 at their next appointment. In this case, it is true that the reviewer did not sign this initial consultation agreement because he took advantage of my time not for himself but for a relative. Since he was not the actual filer, I did not have him sign any representation forms. The reviewer had no intention of filing bankruptcy himself. Where my mistake was made was agreeing to make a second appointment with him. This was a complete waste of over two hours of my time and I incurred expenses on top of it before I was told that he "forgot" to bring the deposit. Bottom line is that this reviewer stole from me. It is "clients" like him that make it difficult to continue to offer free consultations to the people who really are in need of my services. I have a fee policy that is not a secret, I post it on my website and on my forms and we talk about it in detail at the initial consultation. If you do not want to pay the fees I charge, then don't use me, I won't be offended in the least. I don't think this makes me cold blooded, it makes me honest and upfront and firm - exactly what you should want in a bankruptcy attorney.
