Fantastic Attorney!
I had met with three other bankruptcy attorneys before finding Kristine and what a breath of fresh air she turned out to be! Every other law firm had me meeting with support staff and sales people for most of the consultation and I was limited to just a few minutes with the actual attorney. At the ...

Bad Attitude.. Don't care of clients
I spoke to her about my financial situation and she acts really nice the first time I met her but I know how these lawyers are and I was right when I tested her. At the second appt I did two tests on her just to see what kind of person she really was. First test before the end of my appt I told her I...
My office charges a non-refundable deposit of $500 at the second client meeting. By the end of this appointment an attorney (not a legal assistant or sales person) has spent over two hours with you and has incurred the costs of your credit counseling ($49) as well as for obtaining your credit report ($50). I ask clients to sign an initial consultation agreement at the FREE consultation where it clearly states that if the client wishes to use my services, they will be required to pay the non-refundable deposit of $500 at their next appointment. In this case, it is true that the reviewer did not sign this initial consultation agreement because he took advantage of my time not for himself but for a relative. Since he was not the actual filer, I did not have him sign any representation forms. The reviewer had no intention of filing bankruptcy himself. Where my mistake was made was agreeing to make a second appointment with him. This was a complete waste of over two hours of my time and I incurred expenses on top of it before I was told that he "forgot" to bring the deposit. Bottom line is that this reviewer stole from me. It is "clients" like him that make it difficult to continue to offer free consultations to the people who really are in need of my services. I have a fee policy that is not a secret, I post it on my website and on my forms and we talk about it in detail at the initial consultation. If you do not want to pay the fees I charge, then don't use me, I won't be offended in the least. I don't think this makes me cold blooded, it makes me honest and upfront and firm - exactly what you should want in a bankruptcy attorney.

Can I give up my house under chapter 13 if I just cannot afford it?
23 Jul 2009
I filed Chapter 13 and my credit union told me I had reaffirmed the account which I continued to pay on when in fact was not.
