Jonathan Kouroush Reza

Like everyone else who had a DUI/DWI with prior & on probation from the first & caught for a small reason...it ruins your life! Two days after this past Christmas (Dec. 27, 2017) & on a 5 year anniversary work night was tough. I, for some reason, didn't contact my first lawyer because of embarrassmen...t. However, no regrets as I found Johnathan relatively quick after my citation. I was given to him by the Head lawyer of the office. I was slightly concern, at the time, about the less years of experience compared to his colleague's amount of experience - I was wrong. He was genuine right off the bat by staying later in the evening at his office. I came in tired; broken; defeated; cold; anxious until my visit. I felt he was passionate about his job & we had a great consultation that I immediately hired him. He understood my money situation & he's willing to work it out for payments/fees. He said no bullshit enhanced lies, gave great recommendations, & showed confidence with the truth. Immediately he got to work on my case. The next morning he called just to check-in, make sure I was feeling well, which in turn helped me feel like, even if I was a client, that we were a team until the very end! I did reserve some information about my situation & I advise against this mistake. However, Jonathan was very resourceful & had such outstanding knowledge that it didn't matter so much. I got my violation in L.A. County so I was expected to be present at the Metropolitan Courthouse - if you know about it, the process moves RAPIDLY! The first court appearance was within 1.5 weeks; however, Jonathan was able to make that appearance for me. At the end of it, he gave a call with joyful news. There were three options & the outcome was indeed well. He advised not to pick yet, but reassured me that these options are a blessing. Not long after, the West Justice Center was informed about my second & they submitted a probation violation notice. This was scary because it is supposed to be guaranteed jail time; but Jonathan was able to overturn that decision & show the judge that I recognized my problem & am trying to help solve them by attending many AA's, out-patient program, & my SCRAM (alcohol monitoring). No jail time & OC violation was solved. Back to Metro Courthouse, the decision was reduced jail time to four days, two added months (3 total) to the month I already accumulated of SCRAM, & jail hours to replace the court fees. I was able to also get my Restricted License after a three month hard suspension of my license. I'm driving with the breathalyzer in my car for the next year. I also did house arrest for the required four days & I'm thankful for that breeze by time. All this within two months! Jonathan remained ontop of all this stress & time crunch. To me that showed how much strength, determination, & consideration he has. With such great outcomes I highly recommend his services. You will not regret your decision because his actions speak for both parties. Well versed, passionate, dedicated, brilliant. He was able to get my life continuing on with a good path from this horrendous moment to freedom. Caught a DUI about 3 years ago and ended up catching a 2nd while still on probation along with driving on a suspended on 2 counts. From the get go Joanthan remained honest. I had not even paid the man anything and he had already explained things i was not entirely ready to accept but made it clear th...at if I did EXACTLY as he said that i would help him place myself in the best possible position for my case. I was facing jail time for all counts(including the jail for my first) and just about the maximum penalty. All I really cared about was spending little to NO time in jail and keeping my life intact as I am a full time student with debts and a full time job supporting a small family. I was skeptical about hiring a lawyer in general but found it absolutely easy to say yes to this man. He laid everything out for me and left nothing as a surprise. I wasn't exactly ready to accept the fact that I may still be facing some jail time but that if I made every step forward to prevent the fact that he would do everything in his power to see that I didn't. Because I followed his EVERY instruction we built such a strong case that I spent NO time in jail, dropped a couple charges and and even felt calm and collected throughout the entire process. My long-winded review of Jonathan Reza, Esq. is worth the read. I retained Jonathan as my attorney after reading literally hundreds on this site and other sources. A little bit about my situation, I had gotten two DUIs about 6 months apart about 4 years ago and was given a laundry list of things t...o complete in addition to the hefty court fees (approx. $3,000+/-). I completely very little of my court obligations for my first DUI and completely blew off all obligations for my second which resulted in probation violations and two warrants out for my arrest. Eventually I got tired of looking over my shoulder every day and decided to retain counsel and finally put all this behind me. Without Jonathan on my side i would have easily served over a year in jail. After calling around to multiple attorneys i was confident that Jonathan was the one i wanted/needed on my side. In our initial consultation, Jonathan listened to my many problems and assured me that we could beat this, but it will take some work and laid out a preliminary game plan that i was comfortable with. However (no fault to Jonathan), i was forced to serve one day in county jail and Jonathan was able to have judges sign off that the jail time served was sufficient enough and all previous court obligations were no longer required, and my probations were terminated and i am finally free and clear. Let me be clear when i say...NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE without Mr. Reza. He was a bulldog in court and always went above and beyond the call of duty. I was informed every step of way and what i appreciated most about him was the fact that he was always available every step of the way and always made time to answer any questions i had, no matter the time. If you are in a bind and on the edge about hiring Jonathan, i would encourage you to take the leap of faith like i had and you will not be sorry. If you don't want to take my word for it, give him a call. His rates are reasonable and worth every penny and he is flexible. Thanks again Jonathan. Words can't express how grateful i am. Jonathan was very responsive, and professional with the handling of my case. I appreciated that he did not beat around the bush, and tell me that my case was going to be beaten 100%, but instead made sure I was aware that we were working toward the best outcome, but did not try and get my hopes up. A...ll along the way he was a straight shooter that made sure I was aware that the circumstances I was in was not anyone's fault but my own, and was constructive in making sure not to repeat past mistakes.
