I contacted the law office of Christopher Whelton after my DUI arrest on July 24, 2016. Their so-called "jail mail" letter was the most straight-forward and honest sounding of the tide of offerings I received. A very nervous phone call to them immediately put me at ease. The above are just a few words I would use to describe Mr. Whelton. Our teenage son fell into a bad crowd at school and had a major lapse of judgment. Since this was his first time involved with the legal system it resulted in a Deferred Entry of Judgment program. Christopher did an awesome job in... negotiating this for us. As his parents we agreed and supported this, then we worked with our son to remove him from the old crowd and let him learn from his mistakes, which he did. Our son was simply defending himself against a group of bullies sent to fight him, but because he was on DEJ and the other party sustained more injury our son was mercilessly targeted. Our son's future was greatly at stake here. Christopher did an extraordinary and outstanding job defending our position! He masterfully took charge, gathered all the details of the incident and was in constant contact with both the DA's Office and the Probation Office as he appeared on our behalf. He worked through the legal system and his expert knowledge and experience guided all of us through this process. He kept us updated along the way and responded to all of our questions. We are extremely happy with the outcome and finally sleeping at night again. Thank you Chris for helping us save this young man!
