Straight Shooter - Tells it like it is

Bill handled my case and was completely honest about what to expect. No sugar coating - straight talk. I have seen lawyers that seem to continue the conflict so they can increase billable hours - NOT Bill. He worked at every turn to look at the best scenario to bring the case to resolve with the l...east court time and conflict. This does not mean he was a pushover by any means!! He fought aggressively and knew the law. He was prepared to take the issues to trial – which put tremendous pressure on the opposition to settle the case. If you want NO BS, Straight talk, solid advice, and integrity – You cannot go wrong with Bill Bratton.

Professional, Courteous, Caring Service and Outstanding Staff

In 2013 I was in need of an attorney and wanted someone who would walk me through the process, explain the procedures and keep me informed of case progress, while treating me as an intelligent human being. After reading some reviews I opted to pay a small fee and met with Mr. William Bratton. Durin...g this meeting he reviewed my case with me and explained several options for proceeding. I left the meeting knowing that Mr. Bratton was exactly the attorney I was looking for. His depth of knowledge is exceptional, his experience is vast, and his integrity impeccable. Although my case was relatively small compared to some I was always treated as an important client. Mr. Bratton and his staff kept me informed of progress in my case in a very timely matter and I never had to question what was happening. When I did have questions pertaining to procedures or portions of particular documents Mr. Bratton always took the time to explain them in detail and made sure I completely understood his answers. Before retaining Mr. Bratton I had interviewed 5 other local attorneys in Riverside and Corona and another from Orange County. All were pleasant to speak with and told me what I wanted to hear. Mr. Bratton was different. Although pleasant to speak with, he told me what the reality of the situation was and what was possible and most likely for an outcome. I recognized immediately that he was someone I could trust, that would be completely honest and up-front and not just tell me what I wanted to hear. This was a refreshing approach because there was never a big build up followed by a larger let down. Mr. Bratton’s knowledge of the law and his familiarity with the Riverside Court system paved the way for me to know exactly what to expect and all of his advice and direction were right on target. This meant no surprises, no let downs, just good solid results. As for the outcome of my case, did I get everything I wanted? Of course not, I doubt anyone ever does. However, due to Mr. Bratton’s efforts I was awarded a fair and just settlement that I am happy with and I know without question that no other attorney would have worked harder or obtained a better outcome for me. If I had it to do over again I wouldn’t bother interviewing other attorneys, I’d go straight to the best and see Mr. Bratton. I hope this review helps some of you that like me, are looking for integrity, honesty, an incredible work ethic and someone who will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve. Thank you Bill for making the process go quickly and smoothly, it was a pleasure working with you! Special thanks too to your assistant, Corinne, who was awesome to work with.

Friends

I would have never thought I would have been in such an ugly divorce as I am now. 21 yrs with my husband and still have not come to an agreement. My ex is very vindictive an angry. For along time I have caved to him because I felt weak. After many years of not having a voice, I found it. Bill Bratt...on and his staff I have gotten me through the worst year of my life. My ex says that lawyers only want your money. I disagree when it comes to Bill. He also feels like a friend. When I have given up hope or feel like I am being cornered I call him. I have always been treated like family from the staff, and Bill is great about returning my calls, and talking to me as if I was a friend with great advice. I have never felt like I was not worth his time. I am very lucky to have found him. Even though I am not quite done with this chapter yet, but I will be greatful to Bill that he has seen me through this part.

William Bratton: A Wise Choice

It is with tremendous pleasure and without hesitation that I recommend William Bratton. After working with two prior family law attorneys, both of whom were an enormous disappointment to me, I was introduced to Mr. Bratton. My particular family law matter was complicated in many ways. When I met M...r. Bratton, I was despondent and exhausted by the years spent with incompetent legal representation and the labyrinth otherwise known as "Family Law Court." During our initial consultation, I immediately sensed that this man is very confidant in what he does, but in a humble sort of way. I did not feel rushed, and even more importantly, I left that first meeting knowing without reservation that this gentleman would work hard to represent me, while easing the enormous legal stress that going through a divorce entails. He did an outstanding job of consistently returning my phone calls and emails. He was never punitive in his delivery or explanation being that my background is not in law. His reasoning and approach to my case was explained to me in such a manner that I always felt that I was an integral part of the decision making process. Because I had confidence in him, I trusted his judgement which resulted in a very equitable outcome for me and my children. In addition, his office staff were very kind and responsive as well which also helped to ease the negative stressors of divorce. If you are in the initial stage of researching a family law attorney to represent you, or if you are frustrated with the results you are currently getting from your lawyer, I highly encourage you to consider William Bratton.

Just Make Sure You Begin the Process Educated

Mr. Bratton was highly recommended and I felt I positive that my case would be handled and my rights protected. Instead, after 2 years, I was no closer to my divorce than the day he was hired. I had to send email after email to get answers as to why there was zero progress, why the only thing filed... with the court was the divorce summons, why I didn't have a temporary spousal support order, what was I even entitled to under the Community Property laws, what are we asking for and why discovery has never happened? I requested subpoenas to go out - which should have been an automatic if discovery isn't being turned over -. (there were also other court docs which could have gotten us the information), but in any event, I am not the attorney, I shouldn't have been the one to give ideas as to acquiring the information that is being withheld. I was even sent information meant for my spouse to my home because I was told they didn't have his home address. Well, it's been 2 years, you've mail him, spoke with him multiple times and supplied him with paperwork. Once the vital asset information came via the subpoenas, it was never discussed, or brought to the attention of my ex about his withholding/hiding community property. Now the retainer is gone, my credit cards are maxed out, I had to ask the office NOT to contact me unless we had court date, an offer, just something of substance to get us into court because I couldn't afford to answer questions at the astronomical hourly rate if nothing was going to be done. Oh, on a side note, once I was able to access my case, I saw there were multiple court dates where no one appeared, yet it was never discussed with me. So, after being financially destroyed, receiving monthly bills from Bratton's office (with interest), no temporary spousal support order, no further in my divorce 2 years later, I said I was done. It was beyond disheartening to know that someone you thought you could trust really never cared about anything other than the retainer. I would warn every client to start the dissolution process by educating yourself on how the dissolution process it is supposed to flow and to be on top of your case. After all, it is your money that is being dwindled down with every call, every email, etc. I trusted the professionals that I paid to do the job that they are the experts in, yet they didn't. I took my case over as Pro Per and I accomplished more in 3 months, than the attorneys did in 3 years. That's shameful, really

If in fact you are really a past client of mine, you certainly have not spoken to me about your concerns. I absolutely do not handle my cases as you have described. My office NEVER misses scheduled court appearances. Additionally, I find it very suspicious that you put your name as ANONYMOUS. I believe this review was written by someone who was not a prior client but by the other party in one of my cases.
