I used to defend Workers Comp insurance companies ... I KNOW their tactics.

I have been in Workers Compensation since 1987, so I know the real doctors here -- AND the ones to avoid.

I still handle my claims myself.  I NEVER turn your claim over to a Legal Assistant.

There is never a fee until your claim closes.  The Judge orders the fee from your Award at Trial or the Settlement.   You never write me a check.

Your first consultation is FREE.   If I can't help you, I will tell you.

Happy I hired Nancy
I was injured in 2005 and was dealing with an insurance company that fought me over everything I needed, treatment, medication, surgery. After two yrs I hired Nancy to deal with them. With her help I received all I need. If you want someone to hold your hand and comfort you Nancy may or be for you. She worked hard for me and I just settled my case with a very nice settlement

A Whip That Cares
Nancy Wallace is top notch. Yeah, she is busy. She knows her stuff. My consult with her leaves me wishing I was in her area. She came up with strategies that other, well qualified attorneys just missed. If You can get her to represent you, you will not regret it.

Not Afraid of Workers Compensation System and Kicks Butt!
Nancy has helped me through the Workers Compensation Struggle even though I am not a client of her's. If not for her timely and highly educated help my wife would still be suffering. When picking your Workers Compensation lawyer remember you have a choice to pick someone who is not afraid to drag these evil adjusters before the WC Board or she will make sure your on the right track. If I lived in Riverside I would pick her, after twenty years of dealing with a broken and slanted system I wish I had picked Nancy. Hell, I would travel to Riverside just to be her client if I could go back to my wife's original injury date. Hell Yes, I would recommend Nancy!

Extremely Knowledgeable
If I could give her 10 stars I would. She's very knowledgeable and cares for people. She could give seminars to other attorneys on workers compensation laws. She's work both ends for the insurance company and for injured employees. I learned more from her in 15 than i have over the past 2 years. I only did an consult but i am hoping i can become a client.

Excellent Attorney
Nancy took all the time needed to cover my concerns when she called regarding my inquiry. I only wish she were the attorney handling my case from the beginning.

Nancy Wallace is a god send of a lawyer, I think anyone who get's her as their client will be loving life!
Nancy is a hell of a attorney, she's probably one of the top WC lawyers in California and I believe you will be happy if you retain her services. She get's back to her clients quickly, she's beyond knowledgeable in this field every Injured worker dreads. Mrs Wallace has helped me battle against the Adjuster and UR Board getting equitable treatment. I highly recommend Mrs Wallace for personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits! J. Miller

Communicated
Nancy explains so I can understand. She answered my emails so I knew what was happening, and met with me when I needed to show her papers. I understood each step; I found other workers in the waiting are who knew nothing of how they got there.

Exceptional
Nancy was there for me throughout the entire process. She kept me informed, and was very patient explaining the process and what I needed to do. Most of all, she was honest in her expectations. She is truly professional, patient, and will do what needs to be done. Thank You, Nancy!

I have already recommended her over and over.
I REALLY recommend this lawyer. She handled my case herself. Nancy picked a super doctor who really cared. I don't know what i would have done without her; without her I was with a chiropractor who couldn't get me shoulder surgery, and I was running out of state payments, and no one could explain why I couldn't get payments or pain relief or surgery. I have already sent neighbors to her for help. I wish all lawyers were as affordable (I paid nothing except at the very end, and that was paid by the insurance company). I wish all lawyers were as straight-forward as Nancy is.

Thank you very very much
I am really very gratefull with your answers and inscructive comments. You should be really a great defens attorney according to your comments and I am really pretty sure your clients should be very happy and greatfull that they picked you up as an attorney. It is pity that you are not acting in San Diego. Thank you again.

She really helped
I went to another lawyer who sent me to a chiropractor for an ankle and a shoulder which he couldn't help. Then, before I could finish with an orthopedic, that bad chiropractor wrote a false report that i was finished so the bad lawyer could close the case quickly! Nancy fixed the damage done by the bad lawyer and bad chiropractor...I'll NEVER call an 800 number for legal help ever again.

Personal Attention...a rarity these days
My husband had two back injuries, the second one cost him his job. Mrs. Wallace handled the case herself, appeared herself at court appearances, spent as much time as we needed so we could understand. friends had secretaries handling their claim and couldn't understand why they got what they got. My husband was given the option of settling or going to trial and the good parts and bad parts of each...I had to explain this to other friends with work injuries because they could never talk to their lawyer.

Potential to be a great representing lawyer but allowed personal issues to become a lawyer that didn't even show to hearings.
Nancy was very knowledgeable and fought for you when she had the time. Although, she may love answering questions on here she didn't like answering questions on the phone or in person and never seemed to have my file or proper paperwork in front of her even at prior scheduled meetings. She could be a great attorney but for me she didn't have the time, man power, poor excuses, no contact for months to not even showing up to court with the judge, client and defense waiting even trying to reach her from the court hearing. This added probably another couple years to my case and allowing for the defense to get denials through and causing neglect to getting proper timely medical attention which could very well be part of why my injury/condition had worsened! I personally did most of the investigating work and tracking down reports to having to fax my own medical documentation to her because she never had anything or ever requested or inquired about my case to my doctor's or anyone. She should have been the first one to have the documentation and making sure it was accurate, proper and I was updated and agreed or disagreed with the findings etc. I felt like I was working for her. Quite a shame because she is very knowledgeable and a fighter which an injured worker needs in this hell of being stuck in the workman's comp. system but became unreachable, rude at times, unaccountable, unprofessional and untrustworthy. Didn't even have other partners etc. to help aide if needed. She didn't even have a receptionist or a working voicemail at times. Used every excuse possible from the most dramatic of weather issues to pet issues to blaming me the client for not making her aware of a court date. She actually blamed me for not emailing her about a msc hearing she knew of before I did or requested herself. I guess she thought I was keeping her calander. I should have been paid the 15% as I did majority of all the work and was the one in court defending myself. The defense ate this up and I beleive it caused the defense to get away with improper denials, compensation and prolonging my case to making them low ball my injuries because I basically didn't have good legal representation and I was alone standing with "egg on my face"! This attorney really needs to get her act together for the sake of her craft and most importantly her clients! This a person's health and livelihood at stake!!

Response from Nancy Wallace January 22, 2015
I'm sorry you were unhappy with the service. I wish I could recall this case or any of these things occurring but cannot. I DO have a tough time telling people who beg for help 'no' and it backfires on me sometimes.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2017.

Public reproval with/duties issued in CA, 2017
updated on 05/31/2018

A censure or reprimand issued by the Supreme Court or the State Bar Court that is not a matter of public record unless imposed after the initiation of formal disciplinary proceedings. No period of suspension is imposed. The reproval may be imposed with duties or conditions.

Nancy's comment: “I did not know the Board of Specialization sent me something i never received, and said I was a Specialist* (*I was for 24 years) on my website when I was no longer one. I thought i had corrected my website but the changes I made didn't get saved. I was battling a life-threatening blood clot at the time of trial and was advised to 'agree' i violated bar rules instead of going to trial, so I have been disciplined. If i didn't have the clot, i would have proceeded to trial.”

"Without any hesitancy, I endorse Nancy J Wallace for her dedicated and fearless legal work on behalf of injured workers in the California workers' compensation system. Like me, Ms. Wallace worked on the defense side of the field for many years before switching over, meaning she has first-hand inside knowledge on how defendants, and their lawyers, approach claims. Ms. Wallace is passionate of what she does and it is not easily intimidated by insurance company tactics and denial letters."
