I am a solo practitioner and owner of the Law Offices of Constantine D. Buzunis & Associates, a general civil practice law firm. Immediately prior I was a partner in the law firm of Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Charney, LLP located in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego from September 15, 2012-March 31, 2013 in their Civil Litigation and Trial Practice Department.
Prior to that, I was a partner in the San Diego law firm of Neil, Dymott, Frank, McFall & Trexler, APLC for 26 years, where I worked on a variety of cases for public and private clients in the areas of Personal Injury, Automobile and Homeowner liability, Trucking and Common Carrier Liabilty, Government Defense, Construction Accidents and Defects, Real Estate, Administrative Law, Business, Corporations, Commercial & Residential Premises Liability, Appeals and Sports Law. I have a sub-specialty in handling wrongful death, brain injury and paralysis cases.
I have been licensed in the states of California since 1987 and Michigan since 1986. I am admitted to practice in all courts in Michigan and California and I was admitted to practice before the Unitied States Supreme Court in 1993.
I have two published cases in California, Ryan V. CIF, 94 CA 4th 944 and 94 CA 4th 1048.
I handle cases State wide and run a full service law firm.
I served as a Director on the Board of the California Young Lawyers Association for five years and was President in 1994-1995. I served on the State Bar of California Board of Governors in 1995-1996.
I was on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association and served as Secretary.
I practiced in Lansing, Michigan for about one year at Chuch, Kritselis, Wyble & Robinson in areas of plaintiff's personal injury, primarily medical malpractice, automobile and premises liability. I also worked at the Church firm as a lawclerk for four years.
I curently serve on the Board of Directors of Gulf & Pacific Equities, a Canadian based publically traded REIT.
I enjoy food & wine and collect wines from all over the world. My specific areas of interest are United States (focus on Napa, Sonoma, and Central Coast, CA.; France (focus on Bordeaux, Champagne, Burgundy & Loire); and Australia. I am an Introductory member of the Guild of Sommeliers; Certified Sommelier Candidate and a member of the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, Intermediate Level (with distinction) and an Advanced Level Candidate.
I enjoy helping others and perform a lot of charity work. I have been a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in San Diego since 1986.
I served on the Board of Directors of The Order of Ahepa, San Diego Chapter, #223 and was its President for three years.
I have worked with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, San Diego Blood Bank, Presbyterian Crisis Center, San Diego Mission, St. Vincent De Paul Center, Barrio Logan Station, St. Augustine Rectory, Toussant Teen Center, Monarch High School, The Place, The California Interscholastic Federation-San Diego Section, St Innocence Orphanage and La Gloria Infantil Orphanage, which is in Baja, Mexico.
I enjoy playing golf, walking and weightlifting and I love to watch football, hockey, golf and baseball. I love music of most types and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and all walks of life!
