Ms. Johnson is a partner and litigator at Spencer Johnson McCammon LLP. Ms. Johnson advises and represents clients in employment, wage and hour and generallitigation matters. Prior to joining The Spencer Law Firm, Ms. Johnson was a partner at a general business firm where she handled a variety of business-related matters and employment and wage and hour litigation.
In employment matters, Ms. Johnson represents clients in a variety of areas, including wage and hour claims, disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, Federal MSPB and EEOC proceedings, State Personnel Board proceedings, Skelly hearings, employment contract disputes and unemployment insurance appeals.
Ms. Johnson lectures on employment law topics, including wage and hour law, ADA compliance in hiring, accommodating and terminating employees with disabilities, the various types of leave available to employees, EDD appeals and the effective use of the California Code of Civil Procedure. Ms. Johnson was a speaker at the 2014 California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) Annual Conference and at a program of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Ms. Johnson received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. She received her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. Ms. Johnson is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Southern District of California.
Ms. Johnson is a member of the State Bar of California as well as its Labor and Employment Section and its Litigation Section. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, is on the Executive Committee of its Labor and Employment Section and is a member of its Civil Litigation Section. Ms. Johnson is a member of the California Employment Lawyer’s Association (CELA) and the National Employment Lawyer's Association (NELA).
