I was arrested in Oct. of 2011 for my 3rd DUI in 10 years in CA and for those of you familiar with the penalty it carries a minimum of 120 days in jail. The first told me to rush a guilty plea through and do the time asap and get it over with and th...at there was no point in fighting it, I would lose. The second and third attorneys both gave me an elaborate story on how they would use expert toxicologists to prove what I ate and my current stress level because of work caused my BAC to rise. When i met with Cole he said I had to do go above and beyond to not go to jail so he suggested I voluntarily be put on SCRAM (alcohol monitor), enroll in and intensive out patient drug and alcohol rehab program and that i start seeing a one on one drug and alcohol therapist. I did it all and ended up wearing the SCRAM bracelet for 9 months but now just signed a change of plea to do 5 months of Electronic Monitoring (house arrest) which allows me to go to and from work and sleep in my bed and night.
