Ms. Irmer and her colleague Ms. Elkin were AMAZING. I was experiencing a very difficult situation for my career - a criminal accusation that had the potential to tarnish my reputation and career. Ms. Irmer is really great about giving you a realistic view of what difficulties lie ahead and what exactly you need to do in order to preserve your license. She doesn't overpromise, but she fights on your behalf. She does it in a way that is incredibly professional, honest, compassionate. I can't recommend her highly enough. Getting my first DUI is one of the worst experience I have ever went through in my life. Being a health care professional, I had to hire both a criminal lawyer to handle my case with the state and a licensing lawyer with the board. I had such a bad experience with my criminal lawyer and was traumatized by the bad communication, how poorly I was treated and how my case was handled by him. I came to Nicole with anxiety, little hope and was skeptical of all lawyers (this was my first experience obtaining any lawyer). When I came to her, I had a million questions which she helped answered and walked me through the process. The experience I had with her and my criminal lawyer was night and day. I told her I didn’t want to go on probation and although she didn’t make promises, she gave me a checklist of what she needed from me to put together my mitigation package and said if the board decides to put you on probation, this is what we can do and explained to me the process of how we can fight it. Both Kimberly and Nicole were professional and respond to emails in a timely manner. They also handle everything in terms of sending paperwork to your malpractice insurance to get a reimbursement check. I was able to get back what I paid including the cost to obtain her, the quite expensive forensic evaluation, and cost of getting certified paperwork from the court. I hope to never have to need a lawyer to protect my livelihood again but if I do, I will go to Nicole and Kimberly. I was able to get a citation from the board for my first offense DUI. FYI citations are not posted under the dental hygiene board yet since it’s a new board but may in the future. Nicole said when the time comes and they do post it, we will figure it out then.

Ms. Irmer’s law office was incredibly helpful in dealing with a state licensing issue. Her office was patient and very thorough in explaining processes and procedures. I know if you are on this site then you are in the same situation I was in and Im glad you are taking initiative to take the next step. When I found Nicole Irmer, I was still just a student. I had a criminal record of a misdemeaner hit and run and we all know how hard the CA BRN takes criminal records. I was filled with so much anxiety and worry because I heard that I could be possibly denied for a license. Imagine.. Going through two years of nursing school, Going through all the tears and stress, graduating and finding out that you wont be able to take the NCLEX becuase of a mistake years ago. I was filled with such anxiety. Luckily i found Nicole Irmer through Avvo after searching through alot of other lawyers and I explained my entire situation to her. She was honest and forward about the possible results and thats what I really respected. One thing to understand for those who are interested in hiring Nicole is that, depending on your case, you may hear from Nicoles wonderful assistant Kimberly more often than Nicole. Please do not think that Nicole is not taking your case seriously.
