Mark Allen Osman

While "working" my wrongful termination case, Mark Osman's demeanor throughout the time I retained him was pleasant but evasive and not confident. He initially said I had a strong case but quickly then switched when he spoke to the employer in an initial attempt to settle. After the employer indicate...d they would not settle he wanted to quit. On at least two occasions he suggested that I retain another attorney then recanted after I informed him to put this in writing. He would continually tell me that he would work hard on my case and what a good lawyer he is. Mr. Osman gave off a vibe of not being transparent and at one point even remarked that he should not have to inform me of "every Iittle thing" about my case. I also felt that our conversations were being recorded and when I inquired about this he denied it. The end for me was when he wanted me to use him to file a case with the state (you don't need a lawyer to do this) because he was too intimidated by the employers opposing lawyers. Fortunately I fired him before investing too much energy, time and money. Lazy is the only word I can think of his "efforts." If you want a transparent, confident lawyer that will fight for your rights I would bypass Mark Osman. If you want a nice guy then Mark is your man.

I had spoken to a myriad of employment attorneys who made the standard inquiry to determine if my case was worth their time and resources. Every office I spoke with barely listened to the information I gave before turning me away. It appeared to me at that point that if my case wasn't an open and shu...t one then no attorney would take it, but I knew I had a viable case. I made one final call to another attorney that did not specialize in employment law and he recommended I call Mark Osman. I called Mr. Osman and he actually listened to the details of my complaint. He wasn't particularly optimistic about my case at that time but he did give me some good insight. He told me to call him back if I needed him. As it turned out, I needed him a few months later and he was there for me. He took my case and provided me with the sound information needed to put my case together. I worked with him and his associate, Ms. Atherly to gather all the details and information for my case. Both of them are very approachable and even funny at times. That is always helpful when you feel uncertain about your legal case. Each time I called or emailed Mr. Osman's office, my calls or emails were returned within a reasonable timeframe. When changes to my case occurred I notified Mr. Osman's office or they notified me of changes and together we strategized and move forward, Mr. Osman and his associate expertly prepared me for the resolution of my case and the expected outcome. I can say that I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case.

Amazing! I can not express my gratitude for the efforts of Mark and his team. Throughout the entire process, I was kept informed and always felt that my best interests were being looked after. With his counsel, a settlement was reached that exceeded my expectations. Simply amazing! After a lengthy and arduous interviewing process I had joined a company as a top level executive. My staff brought to my attention that there may have been wage and hour violations directed by higher level executives from within which I escalated. Within days of bringing this up, I was terminated. I... consulted and ultimately hired Mark to pursue a whistleblower claim against my former employer. The most important trait I wanted in an attorney was TRUST. Getting an attorney that I could trust in representing ME. Trust in his ability to quickly settle outside of court, trust in his knowledge of the law (employment cases), trust in his honesty and fairness to me as a client. Trust that he care...d about my well-being and the well-being of my family. He fought daily on my behalf. Any time I called him, he answered. He always asked for my input and then made decisions WITH me. I felt informed, confident, and calm throughout my case. I don't know of any cases that are easy to deal with as a client, but in my case, I was at ease. I highly recommend Mark Osman to get the job done in a timely fashion. To this day, I still get a phone call from him checking in on me to see how I am doing. I will forever be grateful for this honest man. RESULT: settled out of court for more than what was first negotiated, yet took very little pay from me. That is what I call "trusting an attorney".
