I am a resident of North Carolina, and I received a DUI while visiting my best friend and vacationing in San Luis Obispo, CA. This was my first visit to California, and having never been in any sort of legal trouble, I was mortified and confused. From what I gathered, SLO was one of the worst place...s in the country to get charged with a DUI, and not being a California resident just muddied the waters further. I called numerous attorneys in the vicinity of SLO, and even spoke to a few in my hometown. I was less than impressed with their helpfulness, their knowledge, and their overall demeanor, especially considering the fact that they specialized in DUIs. Then I called the law office of Daryl Genis. Mr. Genis had great reviews and seemed empathetic and knowledgeable when I spoke with him, unlike any of the other attorneys. He recommended that I let his associate, Jennifer Goldman, represent me. As soon as I spoke with her, I knew choosing her would be the right decision. I cannot say enough about how helpful Ms. Goldman was throughout the entire process. She was on top it, in every way. She was very approachable and amiable, down-to-earth, very intelligent and knowledgeable, and just all-around great. She answered all my random questions, always returned my phone calls and responded to my emails and text messages immediately. I felt like she was really on my side and would help me in any way possible. She really made me feel like I had an ally through this trying time. Although I was convicted of the DUI, Ms. Goldman tried every defense angle plausible. She prevented the Court from convicting me of a more serious DUI charge, which would have resulted in a longer sentence, higher fine, and more robust program. She even helped me through the DMV part of the conviction, which is totally separate from the court charge and scope. She also promised to help get this mistake expunged off of my record. Ms. Goldman went above and beyond in every way. Her competence exceeded my hopes and expectations, and surpassed that of other attorneys with more experience.

Absolutely one of the best, I can't say enough positive things about her! She was the one person I called that had any boost of confidence in my case. It was my second DUI within 10 years and she was able to keep me out of jail and I am forever grateful to her. She was the one person that made me fee...l comfortable, took care of me like I was her only client, treated me with full respect. A lot of lawyers in that position will treat you as a second class citizen but Jennifer treated me like the respectable adult I am. Ms. Goldman's professionalism and confidence impressed me from the start. I was arrested in April of 2014 for DUI; my breathalyzer results were 0.083 and 0.088. Additionally, I had 2 prescribed medications in my system (yes, they will make a big deal out of your prescriptions). This lesser charge is exactly what I needed in order to continue on my path toward becoming a professional.
