In 2016, Havens won "Best of the Bar" Award by the San Diego Business Journal. In 2015, Havens won Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney Award by the San Diego Daily Transcript. In July 2015, she graduated from Gerry Spence’s prestigious Trial Lawyers College. In the last three years, she solo chaired three jury trials and one bench trial to verdict. In 2015 & 2012, FORUM magazine published her articles, “Tips for CCP 998 Offers” & “Effective Uses of Motions in Limine.” Havens has spoken as a panelist at "Experts in Opening Statements" and “Post-Trial Motions” for the Enright Inn of Court and “Opening Statements,” “Jury Selection,” and “US Supreme Court Case Arguments" for the Wallace Inn of Court. She has also presented as a panelist on multiple Consumer Attorneys speaking engagements as well as a Toastmasters Officer. Her vigorous representation and hard work has resulted in hundreds of settlements, often resulting in over 6 figures. At a renowned class action firm, she assisted in the multi-million settlements against large corporate entities. As a law clerked for the Honorable Steven R. Denton and The Gomez Law Firm.
Havens is currently on the Board of Directors for the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and is a Delegate for the American Bar Association’s New Lawyer’s Division. Her prior board experience includes CAOC’s NLD, on the Executive Community of SDCBA’s Forum for Emerging Lawyers and the Educational Committee of CASD. Havens is a four time graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, a four time graduate of the Trial Lawyers College Regional Seminars, a two time graduate of the San Diego Inn of Court Trial Advocacy Workshop, a two time graduate of the San Diego Inn of Court Evidence Advocacy Workshop, a three year J. Horrible Lazy Attroney
Sarah Havens is by far the worst Attorney I have ever hired. She cost me thousands of dollars and did absolutely nothing to resolve my case.
