Andrew Nietor received his B.S. in Finance and International Business from New York University in 1988. After working in the private sector for 10 years, including a year in Mexico, Mr. Nietor attended The George Washington University Law School, receiving a J.D. in 2000. Mr. Nietor was involved in both criminal defense and immigration advocacy during law school, winning his first criminal case in Washington, D.C. and his first political asylum case in Baltimore, MD while still a law student. He interned at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and at AYUDA, an immigrant advocacy agency.
After graduating law school, Mr. Nietor began working at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. During his four years at this nationally-renowned criminal defense office, Mr. Nietor developed his skills as a zealous and aggressive trial attorney, representing clients accused of controlled substance offenses, illegal entry, fraud, bank robbery, racketeering and conspiracy. During this time he also began a career in training and lecturing. He traveled to Santiago, Chile working for the U.S. State Department to train attorneys from across South America and lecture on the American legal system.
In 2004 Mr. Nietor founded his own firm, with a focus on criminal defense and immigration advocacy. In addition, Mr. Nietor expanded his lecturing, and has provided training not only in San Diego, but internationally, including throughout Mexico and Chile. Mr. Nietor is fluent in English and Spanish.
Mr. Nietor is a member of the State Bar of California and American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), as well as Chairman of the Criminal Defense Bar Committee of AILA's San Diego Chapter. He has been a faculty member and lecturer for the Institute for Criminal Defense Advocacy (ICDA), the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) at its National Conference and California Chapters Conference. In 2013 Mr. Nietor was asked to be a member of the Board of Directors for Federal Defenders and Appellate Defenders of San Diego.

"Our QC and Safety Plans, of cource we only extract the applicable parts or summaries and we do not include in our proposals the entire plan, unless they ask for it specifically."
"I have known Andrew for a couple of years through the American Immigration Lawyers Association. As an attorney, Andrew is honest, fair, and intelligent. He works hard and has a strong grasp of criminal and immigration laws. I have recommended him in the past and I will continue to do so. If you have a federal criminal issue, go see him and he'll tell you what you need to know, not just what you want to hear."
