Rebecca M. Perkins

Ms. Perkins is our attorney for my family's child custody case, and I couldn't be more satisfied with her performance over the past two years. She's been so compassionate and dedicated to my family and the case, since the first day she took our case. She's thorough on the facts and the law, yet is co...mpletely focused on what's relevant and doesn't get wrapped up in the he said she said nonsense that comes along with most family law cases. It's so difficult and frustrating to sit quiet and listen while the opposition tells one lie after another. However, Ms. Perkins is so organized and knows our case so well that she was able to discredit nearly all the adverse testimony. Not only is she an excellent litigator, Ms. Perkins is kind and really defines the role of "counselor" in her practice. When my emotions started to run high, she was able to talk me through them and remind me of all the positives of my situation (which is so hard to do in family court). I would recommend Ms. Perkins to anyone looking for an attorney that genuinely cares about her client's and is passionate about her work. She is a no-nonsense straight shooter and I feel so fortunate to have such an honest, tenacious, and compassionate attorney on my side. I'm incredibly thankful for all that she's done, and continues to do, for my family.

Rebecca got put into the middle of quite the complex case when she agreed to help us. Long story short, I was legally separated for about 8 years but still technically married AND I was getting remarried in only about 10 weeks and needed to get officially divorced before then. See? Complex already! :...) Well, we were running out of time to file our paperwork, so we needed to hire someone to help us fill out the paperwork perfectly so that it wouldn't get rejected. She took the case on and because of her persistence and constant going back with the court, she was somehow able to get us an emergency hearing and got our marriage terminated in just 7 weeks! I know she had to have pulled some strings to help us and we really appreciate it! She's tough but has an amazing heart and extremely good at what she does! I've told her a million times already, but THANK YOU REBECCA!!!! It's cause of you that I will be able to get married on my wedding day! ;)

Before I met attorney Rebecca Perkins I consulted with several law offices about my domestic violence case and many of them more or less told me I had no chance of getting a permanent restraining order against a person who had been physically abusive with me and I could not believe it! When I met Reb...ecca Perkins she read over my paperwork and did not make any guarantees but she told me she would work hard to obtain what I wanted. The paperwork that I submitted to the courts was obviously not well written and I missed a few points that could have helped my case. Nonetheless, she told me she was going to do her best and that is exactly what she did. Rebecca took my case and went to trial and won my domestic violence case! She knows her way in the courts and is aggressive to obtain the best outcome for her clients. She will bring the truth to light and is very strategic in the courtroom. She was amazing! I had never worked with an attorney before but if there is one thing I can say about Rebecca is that she is on top of your case and she cares about you genuinely. She is an attorney who wants to make a difference and stands up for what is right!

I had the distinction of being Ms. Perkins client as both a paralegal and an attorney. She was notified of her success at the State Bar exam and sworn in just days after I enlisted her help. I cannot say enough good things about the many hours of effort and care provided by Ms Perkins. Her assista...nce in my family law case proved very decisive in the final settlement. She is attentive to her clients, as well as her many, highly respected mentors. There is no cause for worry regarding getting your "money's worth" from this attorney as her focus and motivation are about excellence in the representation of her clients and not in amassing wealth. Consequently the true value of her services goes well beyond her fee schedule. I consider myself quite fortunate to have been one of her first clients as I expect her future in the legal profession will be both memorable and enduring. Now that she has opened her own office I wish her well and readily recommend the use of her legal services.

Like most people, I don’t like to spend any more money than I have to, and a divorce is an expensive proposition. You know how sometimes you find a deal on something and you can’t believe you only had to pay X to get Y? I’ve had that happen in the past with guitars. I was pleasantly surprised to find... the same kind of deal in my legal representation. Ms. Perkins became my attorney midway through my divorce. I was frustrated and worn down both by the process and what I perceived as the apathy, lack of follow through and uncommunicative nature of my previous counsel. At the beginning, she told me what my expectations should be: that she would always be available, that she would communicate, that she would work hard, and that she would always be honest whether I wanted to hear it or not. She fulfilled all of those expectations. I’m pretty sure opposing counsel liked Ms. Perkins more than he did his own client. And while I certainly couldn’t blame him, there were real benefits for me beyond confirming my opinion that no one in their right mind could stand my ex. The respect that she obviously had from both opposing counsel and the judge made the process more pleasant and created a more favorable environment for me to get what I wanted. At the end of the day, your attorney’s ability to get you what you want is the only true measure of their value. I came out ahead, and I don’t think the other side is even aware of it. That’s quality work. I never got the sense that Ms. Perkins had any agenda other than to get me the best deal possible, and I always felt that she was looking out for my best interests. She was creative and energetic in her approach, diligent in her execution, and thorough in her follow-up. My case took a fairly long time to resolve and as you might expect in such a protracted process there were highs and lows. Ms. Perkins steady counsel kept me grounded during the highs and supported during the lows. She was genuinely sympathetic- you can tell when it’s honest- and that manifested itself in what I thought was extra effort, but she might always work that hard. I’ve already recommended her services to a friend and I would be more than happy to use her again. Not that I plan on getting any more divorces, but as I understand it she does estate planning as well.
