I was "fired" as her client after being misled about a breakup with her partner.

A difficult divorce is hard enough to deal with. Dealing with an attorney like Rebecca Perkins who behaves like she is doing you a favor to work for you and can "fire you" at a moment's notice makes one of the toughest experiences you can face even tougher. My strong recommendation is to find someone... else to help you, no matter how tempting Rebecca's skills may seem. Here's my story. I have a lifetime of business and negotiating experience, just so you know who's writing this. I hired Rebecca because I strongly believed she had the ability to help me in a tricky divorce situation, and she indicated she felt the same way. I gave Rebecca the benefit of the doubt when she IMMEDIATELY shifted me to Courtney without my knowledge or consent, who I never met on day one. Courtney seemed competent but lacked Rebecca's fighting spirit which was why i hired Rebecca, but again, figured Rebecca knew the best path forward for my situation. After just a few months, apparently Rebecca and Courtney parted ways, but the notification process was misleading and shady (my opinion). Without input from Rebecca, Courtney took her own path to my case which has proven completely ineffective (demonstrably). Courtney and I agreed to part ways amicably, but now I am in a bind with court dates coming - I need a quality attorney who can be strong and strategic at a critical time. I still believed Rebecca could be that attoney. I called Rebecca and asked her to resume her role as my attorney. Rebecca said she "reviewed my file" and has decided not to take me on as a client. Interestingly, I should still be her client as I just paid a good size bill. She'll likely say I signed a change of attorney form and so I should only blame myself, but that change was presented by Courtney as "allowing Courtney to handle more matters directly". I never heard from Rebecca during their "transition process" at all. I had to pry it out of Courtney that she was no longer affiliated with Rebecca. Long story short. Stay away. Too much risk you won't make the cut as someone she is willing to help--even after she takes you on as a client!

Intuitive and Very Smart

I came into contact with Rebecca by accident. I am dealing with a high-conflict child custody case in San Diego County. Very serious events have occurred which I do not want to share publicly that required assistance from Rebecca. Rebecca represents the Mother of a child my ex-wife has allegedly k...idnapped. The child has been missing since November and is still missing. There are many different law enforcement agencies involved, as well as three different courts in three counties regarding child abduction. Rebecca has gone above and beyond to research issues related to this case and provide me and her client with guidance as it relates to informing the court of the facts and getting all counties and all law enforcement on the same page. Rebecca is intuitive and very smart. She is honest and exercises integrity when dealing with me and other people. Rebecca can be curt and straight to the point which initially threw me off. I felt her tone was aggressive with me. Then when I realized who she was and what part she plays in these cases; I understood her intensity. She literally cross-examined me when she found me. Yes, she found me! While doing research on her kidnapping case she traced several relatives of the alleged kidnapper. Rebecca has laser focus. I can imagine that is offputting to sensitive people who need hand-holding. Despite her initial aggressive and curt demeanor she has a huge heart and has the children's best interests at the top of her list. Due to her call, her conversation with my attorney, and her efforts to this day, I have full custody of my son after being alienated for over 6 months

Outstanding Attorney

I hired Rebecca to represent me in a high-conflict child custody case in Riverside. I was looking for an attorney that would stand up for me, and make all of my evidence known to the Judge. Rebecca filed motion after motion for me until the court finally made a decision in my favor. I am dealing wit...h a severe parental alienation case. Rebecca fought hard so that the court would HEAR what I was trying to say. Communication with her office is very easy. The office’s procedures make it efficient and quick to get questions answered and get updates on my case. All documents are forwarded to me for review. The only issue is that Rebecca is on the pricier side. However, her reputation in the community, her relationships with everyone from the court staff to the janitor, make the court appearance so much less stressful. You really do pay for what you get. My prior attorney charged much less but I ended up paying just as much as Rebecca charges because their office was inefficient, disorganized, and just not up to my standards. It seems like that is the norm for most firms. Not Rebecca’s firm. Those girls are a team and it is evident that they work very well together. Rebecca knows the law cold. She thinks quickly on her feet and does not give up. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Divorce Attorney

Rebecca Perkins is worth every cent. In May of 2018 I decided to file for divorce and 50/50 child custody. My situation was complex and my ex was not reasonable at all, especially when it came to my children and finances. I felt defeated and decided to get legal representation. I had called an attorn...ey prior to calling Rebecca, he was clearly one sided and made it seem like women always win in divorce cases. I decided to get on Yelp and came across Rebecca Perkins reviews. Rebecca is an experienced attorney that knows the law. She will be upfront and honest every step of the way. Rebecca made sure I understood every step and potential outcome through the whole process. Her and her staff made sure that all my paperwork was filed on time and correctly (I want to mention this because the opposing parties/my ex’s first attorney filed her paperwork wrong). Rebecca fought for me in every court hearing. I was able to get my kids 50/50 and spousal support was completely dismissed in my case. She’s is knowledgeable and a fighter in the courtroom. I would recommend her to anyone that is going through the divorce process.

Rebecca is AWESOME!!!!

There are no words strong enough to express my appreciation for everything that Ms. Rebecca Perkins did for me, but I want you to know that she is AWESOME, and helped me out tremendously! My ex-wife and I divorced over of 4 years ago. At the time of our divorce, we negotiated the terms (child support..., spousal support, and bills), and came to an agreement. We hired a licensed Paralegal to complete all of the court documents and make sure that everything we mutually agreed upon was included, leaving nothing to fight about or worry about in the future. All of our paperwork was submitted to the Family Law Court for processing and approval. The court approved our divorce, along with all of the terms, the documents were signed and we (ex-wife and I) received signed copies and went on with our lives. However, my ex-wife recently decided she wanted more child support, more spousal support (in addition to what I already agreed to pay her through 2029), and half of my retirement. My ex hired an attorney, served me with paperwork and wanted to leave me in the poor house, even after I was supporting our children monthly (as we agreed), as well as having all 3 of them on my Medical, Dental and Vision insurance plans. I needed legal representation ASAP! I found Rebecca, a referral from a friend, met with her and retained her. I can tell you she is extremely familiar with the law, especially Family Law. Rebecca counter-filed the appropriate documents, made me aware of any new forms that were received, as well as things that I needed to do, she prepared me for court, and got her ducks in a row too. On the day of my court appearance, Rebecca was MAGNIFICENT when she spoke, presented a great case and event addressed case laws when appropriate. After hearing my attorney speak, and my ex-wife' attorney too, the judge agreed with us and we won! I cannot begin to tell you how relieved I felt! I know this was all a matter of formalities and I knew it was probably going to go nowhere, but it was great to hear the judge side with us. Everything that my ex-wife and I agreed to when we first got divorced remained and she got nothing new and got nothing increased. This was a great relief and I would not have gotten this far if it wasn't for Rebecca. Do you want a great lawyer? Do you want to win? If Yes, then you want Ms. Rebecca Perkins. She will fight for you and she is worth every penny! THANK YOU REBECCA!
