If you feel like paying a premium to a man who can't be bothered to actually know what is going on in your case, who won't even know what your first name is no matter how often you correct him, and being referred to deal with staff who are not only irresponsible but downright detrimental to your case... then this "attorney" and his staff are exactly what you need. They will take an ungodly amount of money and then they will do nothing. Give them everything they need with the promise of your case being a priority and then sit for months as absolutely no progress is made for you. When you make clear your frustrations be ready to hear a lot of excuses like "they were out for a family death for a week so that's why nothing has been done in a month for your case." "I'm out of town for vacation." Or my personal favorite "sometimes with uncontested divorces things get put on the back burner and forgotten about." This office has done nothing but ensure that my UNCONTESTED divorce be as traumatic as possible for as long as possible. No one there will ever put your mind at ease. They will only ever try to make you believe you are the one being absurd because when you pay them tens of thousands of dollars you expect some kind of result. Worst kind of scum there is. I am guessing his paralegal Alicia is doing more than paperwork with him, in order to keep someone so incredibly inept at their job by your side and under your employ. Especially when I have had to be reassured they aren't going to charge me for the "work" she did that she was actually redoing because her and him never actually filed my papers until FOUR MONTHS after they said they had everything they needed and it would be filed the following week. Like geez thanks for not making me pay for something that had nothing to do with me, but how do I get the four months you and her wasted back?! You don't. They don't care about their clients and don't even care if they are doing right by you. Disgusting.

Don’t waste your time or money. Mr abernathy may have at one point in his career been thriving and great at representing his clients. Not sure if his office has expanded too much that he lost perspective of what is important and what got him there. Hiring him and working with his office left a lot to... desire. They are an organized unprofessional lock the basic understanding of legalities in a divorce and child custody or basic math when they came to dividing assets. The mere fact that we had to sit on the phone for over an hour and explain a basic math solution to his accountant was disheartening to say the least. His paralegal is absolutely unprofessional disgusting behavior it is a shame that he chooses to work with someone of such low caliber. Thank God for the judge in this hearing which was an emergent hearing we had to file due to the lack of motion and sense of urgency in this case. The judge clearly reviewed the case and gave a fair decision. So much so that the attorney themselves were shocked. We are forever grateful for the judge in this case that took her time to review all the presented evidence. It is a shame that these professions lose focus on what is important and seem to focus on only the money and possibly their egos. I really wanted to like Mr. Abernathy unfortunately I would highly deter anyone from using his services you will be out of pocket thousands of dollars and subpar results and communication. This is just an honest review That I would encourage more people to do.

Abernathy spent over a year on my case, extending, and extending my case for frivolous things like late filed documents and bringing on witnesses that didn't need to be on the stand during trial. Constantly doing work I never asked for, providing little guidance and in the end, nothing changed! ... DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN

Dont even bother contacting this place, what a joke. After almost 2 years working this place, they still have not got much accomplished. They will have numerous people email you the same thing and get charged $45 for each email they send. Every time I've called I had to explain what is going on with ...my case, the staff is oblivious.

Very poor communication and even worse ethics. Going through a divorce and taking care of your children as a single parent is hard. Chris wanted to put my 4 year old daughter on the stand for trial, and get questioned without doing a competency test before. Failed to file multiple contempts (5) of... a restraining order, stating it would extend the case. This was not in my best interest. Overall, i am very dissatisfied with Mr Abernathy, and DO NOT suggest to use him as council.
