Highly Recommend

Mr. Seal represented me in a personal injury lawsuit and got me a better result than I could have EVER imagined. When I walked into his office to originally consult with him, I was not even sure if I had a case or if the case was lucrative. From the start Mr. Seal was clearly incredibly experienced a...nd knowledgeable. He not only shed light on my situation, he made me feel confident achieving the result I wanted was going to be incredibly straightforward. Mr. Seal was professional, tactical and efficient. From start to finish, there was not a single event that arose that I did not see coming since I was so well versed on the process and how everything would unfold thanks to my attorney. Also, I was not exactly an "easy" client to deal with per se as I have massive trust issues stemming from my own personal experiences and problems. Not only did he alleviate those concerns, he made special exceptions for me that were AT LEAST borderline slightly unreasonable just to accommodate my lack of trust in the process. Eventually though through always being correct about what was going to happen next, Mr. Seal didnt just win me over, He won my case. I could NEVER recommend Mr. Seal enough. He consulted to get me to believe in my own case, he took my case pro bono, he won me a generous settlement and he still consults with me on various small legal matters TO THIS DAY. I am going to be incredibly sad when he retires because the world will lose an excellent moral attorney who practices the way he lives, as a skilled trustworthy professional who deserves your trust and vote of confidence. I would wish you good luck if you choose to hire Mr. Seal as your attorney but you wont need it. You're in great hands. If the case can be won and you hired Mr. Seal, then chalk up 1 in the W column now because its basically already done. Its really hard to know if you are doing the right thing on something before you make a choice but I can assure you right now through my own personal experience that you are 100% making the right choice if you are choosing to hire Mr. Seal. If there is still even an ounce of doubt then make the call, talk to him yourself and Im sure you will see that you are in the most capable hands you can be in. Enjoy the win coming your way and thank you Mr. Seal for truly changing the trajectory of my life into something great. I can say with zero doubts that I could not have done it without him and I would not be where I am today had I not done it.

MUST READ BEFORE HIRING THIS ATTORNEY

Attorney David Seal promised to assist me with my collateral complaint for trespassing and private nuisance for a business operated out of my rental apartment without a business license and home occupation permit. After the retainer agreement was signed and the $3,500 retainer check was cashed, I did... not hear back from attorney Seal. I tried calling and emailing him but he is always busy working on other cases, personal health issues, and holiday vacation. The day before the statutory deadline to file suit for my case expired, he called me and told me that it is not the best use of his time to file an action for trespass and private nuisance. He then sent me an email confirming that I agreed to his recommendation. At this point, even if I disagreed with his recommendation, it is impossible for me to find another attorney to help me with my case. Attorney Seal should provide his clients sufficient notice of his decision not to pursue the case so the client can find another attorney. In any legal matter, time is of the essence. Attorney Seal accepted my money and promised to help me but he did not do anything. I lost my legal rights due to his failure to take action on the case and he did not provide me with advance notice to find a new attorney had I wanted to still pursue these causes of action. To make the matter worse, I asked him to provide me with his tax identification so I can issue him form 1099 for the $3,500 I paid him to comply with the IRS rules. I faxed and emailed him copy of IRS Form W-9 and instructions. He never got back to me. Now I am out $3,500 and I can’t even get a tax deduction for the money I paid him. I hope my review will help other to learn from my mistakes. If you are going to hire attorney Seal, I highly recommend paying a very small retainer fee and see if he actually follow through with what he promised. Pay the bills as the retainer is depleted to make sure you actually got legal services you paid for. If you don’t get any services, at least you lose out on a smaller amount. Also, get the form W-9 at the time the retainer agreement is signed and the initial retainer fee is paid. Once the check is cashed, you are out of luck with this attorney.

This reviewer has a history of filing questionable lawsuits and attempting to re-litigate lawsuits already lost. I was asked to evaluate the potential and merits of such a case. Upon reviewing, it was apparent this issue had already been lost at trial by this client, and that taking the action desired by the client would not have worked, and would have exposed the client to potential sanctions and attorneys fees. When I advised this individual correctly, she was upset with the advice given. The reality is I saved this person potentially a large sum by doing my work properly and giving accurate legal advice.

Capable! Successful! No surprises! Gets the job done!

Mr. Seal has represented us three times in three different situations, and has prevailed. One was the pursuit of legal malpractice against another attorney. One was an estate dispute involving malfeasance on the part of a bank. One was a fee dispute with another attorney. In each case I do not believ...e we could have realistically wished for more informative, more open, more capable, more personable, more practical, more realistic, or more articulate representation.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
