Our office receives numerous inquiries from individuals facing urgent legal matters, and we make every effort to evaluate each situation promptly and professionally. I would like to clarify that **the initial consultation and review of your documentation were provided entirely free of charge.** The $250 invoice was for future legal services, should you have decided to retain our office. There was no charge for our initial discussions or review, and you were under no obligation to proceed. Requesting documentation before providing legal advice or agreeing to representation is an important part of our process. It allows us to properly evaluate the circumstances and determine the appropriate course of action rather than offering conclusions without reviewing the relevant information. I respectfully disagree with your characterization of our interactions. My intention throughout was to understand your situation and determine how/if our office could assist you. When you indicated that you did not wish to proceed, I simply respected your decision by stating "ok" rather than attempting to persuade you otherwise. We treat every prospective client with the same level of professionalism and respect, regardless of gender, background, or circumstances. While I regret that we were unable to meet your expectations, I believe it is important to clarify that you received a free consultation and document review, and no fees were charged or collected for those services.
