Mr Liss was paid $500 as a retainer for my probate matter. He made several broken promises. He had promised me paperwork to file and never provided it. A week later I email Mr Liss for the paperwork and he never responded. I then called him and he also never answered Two weeks after the promised pape...rwork to file he avoided my calls so I called from an alternate number. And guess what he answered! He couldn’t grasp his words when he answered and then again promised me the paperwork that weekend. Once again he failed on his word to provide it to me. So I wrote Mr Liss today and told him moving forward I am hiring someone new because this matter is very important to me. I basically got a letter sent to the other party for $500. Don’t waste your money.

Beware everyone... This Attorney is bad buisness... He has waited my time on filing a case through the courts. He will respond to your messages as long as you owe him money or time, if not, he will drop your case and keep you waiting for weeks wondering what is going on with your case, because he... only works on cases that are paying him lots of money and when there is time to return your calls on your small case he pretends that he is busy at work on your case.. He kept me waiting for over two months without any update on my guadianship case he took on under ARAG and when I inquire on the case he tells me lies that it is in probate and that he would call the court house and find out why there is no filling. Then he goes absent and does not return my calls again for over a month! I finaly got worried that something bad had happened to him and so I went to his office and no one was there, then I tried reaching out to him through three phone numbers and his buisness email and still no answer... I began to think that something had happened so I found his family on FB and sent them a kind reminder to let him know that I was looking for him. When that did not work, I called the network of ARAG and requested they try to find him and that in the meantime I would wait for an answer. 20 minutes later, Jeffrey text me that he had spoken to ARAG about my case and that it was best that I find a new attorney. I said "wait just a minute" You have been working on my case from November till June and you have taken my money for filling and did not file back in March? I told him he had waisted my time and money and because of him, I would have to start all over with a new Attorney.... If that isn'n't a case for the Ethics Committee with the Board than I don't know what is...? I'm so grateful that I found a professional and reliable attorney. The last two attorneys I hired were very hard to get a hold of, even when it came close to my court date. Jeffrey Liss was professional and always returned my calls, and answered every question I had. The court system can be confusing... and scary, but he walked me through the whole process and made things as easy as possible under the circumstances. He seems to honestly care about his clients and what they're going tthrough. Due to my medical issues he drove to me and was available to meet outside of business hours, and on weekends. He's also very affordable compared to other attorneys I've previously dealt with. I've referred him to friends & family and would recommend him to anyone with legal issues/questions.
