I had a really difficult case since I entered illigally to the USA from Mexico. Originally I am from Israel. I came here at age 12 and overstayed my visa. I have been living in the USA illigally for more then 12 years. Its very hard to live here without driver license and a work permit. I got really... lucky to get my Green Card and to have a lawyer like Jerry. When we started the case Jerry told me that since I had a very difficult case he didn't want to except the case without making sure I have a decent chance of not waisting my money and time. He kept me informed of all the different outcomes to my case. After we got some answers, we decided to start the case. Jerry always got back to me when I called him within a reasonable time. He didn't promise success since I had a really difficult case but soon enough I got approved for my Green Card. Jerry did a wonderful job. He was proffesional and very trustworthy. I know that if I took a lawyer less knowledgeable, I could have been facing deportation or a very long case. I am very happy that everything turned out the way it did. Thanks to this great lawyer I can now go to anywhere in the world and come back to the USA without a problem. I can drive legally with a current CA driver license. I no longer have to be worried about driving illigally. Jerry Shapiro did a great job and was more reasonably priced then most lawyers I was looking into for my case. Since the end of 2010 my family was going through very tough times because of my husband's immigration status. Both I and my husband are Armenians from Armenia. We have 2 kids, who were born here in LA. Even though I and our two sons were US citizens at that time, the authorities deported my husba...nd back to Armenia, after keeping him in Immigration Jail for almost 4 weeks. While my husband was in immigration jail, I met with 8-10 lawyers of different nationalities., including Armenians. The one I hired before Mr. Shapiro (while my husband was still in jail), failed. My husband was sent back to our country of origin. I heard about Mr. Shapiro's great work from a friend of mine. At that time I had already met with about 15 lawyers, and couldn't decide who to hire. As soon as I met Mr. Shapiro and had my first consultation with him, I understood that he was the type of attorney I was looking for. Mr Shapiro took over my husband's case in February of 2012. He filed deportation waivers for my husband ( I-601 and I-212). Every person who has such issues most probably knows how difficult it is to get waivers approved after deportation, and how long it can take( in average 4-6 months). Mr. Shapiro prepared such a strong case that our waivers were approved within 2 weeks, after submitting them. I will definitely recommend Mr Jerry Shapiro to anyone who is going through immigration issues. What I like about Mr. Shapiro most is that he is very responsive, very honest and knowledgeable. He was always there to answer any question I had. He even answered my phone calls on Sundays. Mr. Shapiro is very detail oriented. Whatever he writes in his legal briefs and cases is proved by strong supportive documents. I hope we will never go through anything like this, but if we ever do, I will without hesitation go directly to Mr. Jerry Shapiro ( even though there are so many Armenian attorneys out there). One more thing I forgot to mention is that he not only files documents and waits until he gets a response back, but also follows up with officials to get status of whatever he does. I had never heard someone enter the US with an immigrant visa after being deported back to Armenia.( May be from other countries but not Armenia) Great job Mr. Shapiro!!! Ive dealt with a few attorneys in my life, criminal, real estate etc... but Jerry was the first and only that I have come across to be as honest and professional as he was to me. I was referred to him by another immigration attorney, who told me that Jerry was the one to talk to about my immigration ...case on obtaining my US citizenship. I cant thank Jerry enough, as he helped me obtain my citizenship even with the previous criminal issues that I had when I was younger and made some bad mistakes. Mr. Shapiro is the best immigration lawyer out there , he made my impossible , possible. I am an Iranian women who have lived in U.S. since 2004. I had a temporary green card and had to divorce my husband. Immigration was going to terminate my residency because they believed that I did not enter my ...marriage in good faith. But Mr. Shapiro prove them wrong. After his defense was sent to immigration on May 30, immigration sent my permanent green card in June 16. I can not thank him enough for an amazing job he did. The other lawyer I had turn out to be an immigration consultant and he took all my money and gave me all the wrong advises. But Mr. Shapiro did not promise me anything and gave me my green card at the end . THERE IS NO ONE BETTER THAN HIM IN CALIFORNIA
