Gerald Shapiro

In 2000 my parents and older sister began their adjustment of status journey. By 2006 they received a deportation notice and in that same year they hired Mr.Shapiro. Mr.Shapiro has always been a wonderful lawyer. Ever since they hired him, he has always helped my family and reassured us that everyth...ing will be okay. The first process he helped us with was getting my parents and older sister a cancelation of removal which took about 10 years. After the cancellation of removal, my parents case was separated. At this time the case moved forward with my father and sister. Mr. Shapiro helped them by filing a motion with the immigration court to reopen and terminate their immigration court cases, he was successful. The process for this took less than a year and by 2019 both my sister and father were able to obtain their green card. Upon my father getting his green card, my mother’s case was able to move forward with the same process of terminating the case. The pandemic delayed my mother’s process of getting her green card. As time passed we always communicated with Mr. Shapiro and he always kept us updated on the status of my mom’s case. Finally this year in April Mr. Shapiro was able to communicate with an immigration officer, he was able to help the case move forward. During this time my mother received a request of evidence in which she had to submit extra support documents for her I-485 application, including medical exams. We submitted the requested evidence right away in April with the expectation of getting an interview. July arrived and Mr. Shapiro contacted us with a congratulatory email saying that my mother was approved for lawful permanent residence. In less than a week her green card arrived. 23 years with a complicated immigration case and at last my parents and older sister have their green card. We highly recommend Mr. Shapiro! I came to Attorney Jerry Shapiro because I was a deportation proceedings from the United States. If there was more than five stars then Jerry would definitely deserve it. My family and I are from Lebanon, we hired Attourney Gerry Chapiro to help us with our Political/Religious complicated Asylum case which we were seeking.
