Irina Rubin is a true professional and I felt she truly went to bat for me-- if you are looking for a great lawyer, give her a call right now. Workers compensation cases can often take a long time and Irina did a great job of explaining the process to me and walked me through it all. I had an injury in 2014, and I debated to call due to being far from the law firm but since day 1 they accommodated my needs they came to me almost a 2 hour drive, with that being said they helped me get the medical attention I needed but off course it all takes time and patience, They will tell yo...u exactly where you stand and what direction you should go and what is next to proceed. It took almost 5 years but I received the medical attention in a timely manner and the results are amazing. I find their law firm to be experienced, honest, knowledgeable and responsive. I hired Ms. Rubin this year (2017) to represent me in a Workers Comp case. This was my first time with dealing with a situation like this. Needless to say I was clueless on what steps to take, or how to take them. I searched for a lawyer and was intrigued with Godwin & Rubin Law Offices. I contacted ...them via phone and within the next day I was meet with a representative of the firm. The rep came to my house collected all the information he needed to file the claim, and when he was done he face-time Ms. Rubin and Mr. Goodwin so that I could meet the people whom was going to represent me. Moving forward I was contacted on a weekly bases with updates on the case (step by step on the filing process) and also to check up on me and my heath. This was my first rodeo but I was "IMPRESSED"! My disposition date came up I was greeted by Mr. Goodwin (awesome guy also, let me add) before entering, my case was settle that date; paperwork was signed and I was on my way. Now this is when the extreme satisfaction of Ms. Rubin and her team was met. The insurance company promise that payment of the settlement would be received within 30 days upon the signing of the judge. This was done and my waiting period began. After 30 days had passed I contacted Ms. Rubin on the status of the checked. She informed that she will check or she would have someone from her team to check and get with me. Come to find out the insurance company forgot to add my apt # on the mailed check. Her team called me to verify the address and they contacted the insurance company to rectify this mistake. Two weeks later Ms. Rubin called to see if I received my settlement check. I informed her that it had NOT been received! She called the insurance company and connected me on a three way call to find out what was the delay. The insurance company gave us the run around which she stood firm with them and demanded that they cancel that check (that was claimed to be sent out) and overnight a new one to me. Her demand was met, I got the settlement check; also she filed for late / nonpayment claim for me. The insurance company was being extremely difficult and nonchalant with my satisfaction. Ms. Rubin went over and beyond to make sure I was compensated for the mistake the insurance company made that caused me to have my car repossessed and my bills being delayed. I will recommend her Mr. Goodwin and her firms services to anyone. Awesome company that made sure that I was a satisfied client! Irina rescued and saved my case, this is my story. I injured my back at work in 1999; being that the Insurance Company wouldn't accept liability, I hired an attorney (12 years went by and that attorney did not help at all). After years of enduring severe pain and with little and/or no treatme...nt, I developed a condition known as Drop foot in May 2005; I ended up having emergency back surgery (I had the MRI and then the surgery the same day, it was that bad). My surgeon stated that the damaged disc on my Lumbar Spine exploded "like the damaged tire of a car when it explodes in the middle of the road'. The Board had sent several notices to my attorney trying to communicate with her, She never answered any of the notices. "You are in luck" said the gentleman at the WC Board office; I had a few hours to get a new attorney or I could sign as my own attorney, either way it had to be done that same day. I knew Irina Rubin (from work) I had seen first hand the way she treats her clients; with DIGNITY AND RESPECT. I had always admired how she is straightforward, kind and helpful while being strong and relentless at the same time. I knew she was the right person for the job.
