Jose Antonio Mendoza

Jose A. Mendoza   serves as in house litigation counsel for Coldwell Banker real estate. Mr. Mendoza has over 27 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions and litigation. His practice includes representing clients in construction defects, professional liability defense, wrongful foreclosures, purchase and sale agreements, business transactions, and commission disputes.

Mr. Mendoza has built his practice around providing efficient legal representation to his clients. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, including law and motion and discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial work. Mr. Mendoza also counsels clients on effective risk management, and provides training seminars to real estate agents and brokers on avoiding litigation.

Prior to re-joining Coldwell Banker, Mr. Mendoza was an attorney at the Carlson Law Group.  His extensive work in the brokerage's Los Angeles office involved managing and defending cases made against real estate brokers across Southern California. Internally, he also developed and conducted a training program for use with the firm's licensed agents.

Mr. Mendoza received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. While an undergraduate, Mr. Mendoza was a member of the Dean's List and the Gold Key National Honor Society. Mr. Mendoza is currently an Advisor on the California State Bar's Real Property Law Section Executive Committee, a member with the California Association of Realtors Legal Affairs Forum, and an AV-Rated attorney.
