We found Attorney Brett Blumstein February 2010 through an extensive research of someone who could handle my problematic case for OWCP/FERS (federal) retirement. I was in a difficult situation, I suffered so much disappointment and depression. Thank God I found Attorney Blumstein. Attorney Blum...stein kept reassuring me that we would win the case throughout the entire process. After about 9 months, we won! He went above and beyond what was expected and I was well taken care of, it was amazing. 2018, we hired Attorney Blumstein again, this time for my husband’s OWCP/FERS retirement case. We submitted his documents and won 6 months later. Attorney Blumstein’s professionalism and service that he provides for his clients should be highly sought after, he is a blessing and highly recommended by our family.

We've consulted this Atty (Brett Blumstein) through phone asking if he could help us to re-open my husband's case in the Dept of Labor. He seemed very nice on the phone, as he was able to explained things about the case of my husband, so we kind of trusted him that he would be able to help us to get ...what we deserve. Upfront, this law firm asked for a $1000 down payment to start the case. There you go, we gave them the money through money order. Take note, our communications are both through emails and phone calls. One time, they called us telling that they need my husband to undergo an Nerve test (this test is very expensive), we consulted our physician about the test, but our physician told us that the test is useless because it only detects major nerve damage which is in my husband's case according to our physician won't apply to him. This firm force us to do this test despite of our explaination because according to them, the nerve test is what their contact doctor from Oklahoma needs. After the test done, they want my husband to fly to Oklahoma to meet their contact doctor there. At this point, we've kind of lost trust of this firm, so we've decided not so pursue our case using this firm. Another thing, every emails and phone calls that we made to them such as asking questions, and case follow-up we've got charged for it. Overall, our $1000 downpayment was gone for phone calls and emails charges. They did not do anything about the case!!! This is something that you guys need to think about if you hire this firm.

I was referred to this attorney for time critical and expert legal assistance with a serious claim involving a death. This was several weeks ago. I worked with their firm in a due diligent manner. Until the last few days, I would have agreed with the many positive remarks made by other reviewers abov...e. But, this attorney wasted my time for precious weeks, offered his representation, and then dropped out at the last minute, leaving me in a hopeless situation, when everything pertinent was given to him about the case up front as per his requests and consultation with me. This is beyond a disaster and I have lost previous time in getting my matter handled. I hired the attorney but he then delayed in processing the payment, and then he dropped out. He had every opportunity to vet the case details timely and did not, or whatever he did do has made no sense and is entirely reprehensible in my view. This is my experience of dealing with this attorney.

I've had experiences with other firms, but Mr. Blumstein and associates have forever changed my perception of what is to be expected from a Law Office. I was so impressed with the individual attention, responsiveness, professionalism and the overall knowledge and services provided to me. I truly be...lieve they cared about me and my situation which was really nice during a difficult time in my life. I am incredibly grateful for finding this firm, I hope I never have another need for a lawyer, but if I do, there is absolutely no question he's my Lawyer for life.
