Luis Santiago Valencia

I hired Mr. Santiago after a friend referred me to him. Although he provided a lot of information, I was in for a surprise. He was quick to accept me as a client as well as disregard me as a human being after he was paid. I will give him this, he did give me the time of day when I was making my payme...nts. My case was at the federal level, with my future on the line; I wanted to make the best decisions without much impact to my current life. Mr. Santiago did not go over critical information within my pre-indictment report. He also failed to show up with me to my pre-sentence interview as lawyers normally do. Did I mention he did not file stipulation of factual basis before sentencing? I did not find that out 'till the judge asked for it on my final court date. Mr Santiago and I signed a contract which was lost, so a new contract was written up. Mr Santiago has failed to live up to conditions within that contract. Only after a reminder that we're bonded by a contract with specific terms, he decides to comply. To show my discontent, I plan to file a formal complaint to the State BAR along with a witness I took with me to court who can file another on his behalf. Perhaps a few sites where actual verified clients can share their thoughts. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate a solid 2.

I was looking for a lawyer to help me with my car accident case. Every lawyer I contacted was blunt and rude. Luis was kind from the moment I called him. He patiently listened to my story of what happened and he agreed to meet with me as soon as I was able. He's made things so easy for me and everyon...e involved in my case and he's helped us through every part of the process. While I was deployed Mr. Santi had my full trust to always appear in court while I was gone. He never let me down and never gave up trying to contact me, even though it was difficult at times. He helped me when I thought no one else could. Having tremendous tact and patience, Mr. Santi aggressively p...ushed my case even when some would see as a "no brainer." After a brief period of time the case was won and dismissed. With Mr. Santi's hard work and dedication, he has accomplished much more then what people see. I highly recommend Mr. Santi to any person seeking legal advice/help.

My father was accused of worker's comp fraud. My father had another attorney who turned in all his financials and got him a deal for a misdemeanor and $160,000. In restitution, my dad thought he was going to lose his house, car, retirement.... well for financial reasons we consulted with Luis. He ...took the case and I must admit he dragged the case along for almost one year, it was hell but he would always assure us that the previous attorney did not get all the facts and someone was holding out. Exactly as he said a month before the trial, the prior worker's comp attorney handed over the file, only after we went to the State Bar and complained. There it was a Deposition of the doctor's no one had ever handed over. My father was offered $60,000 in restitution and 400 hours of Community Service. Luis told us to believe in him. We went to trial on what seemed an impossible case. Luis told us don't get to excited the DA will have good days and bad days, so will we. After 8 days..... hung jury 10 not guilty 2 guilty. wow. The D.A, even shook Luis hand and said, "well, at least I know you worked for it." Would I recommend Luis, Yes!!!!! the guy went to UCLA, was a Marine, is straight forward and would always say, " whatever it is I promise not to lie to you, we will deal with it together." and believe me he is reasonably priced. Why am I writing the review, because it was my dad and I am overwhelmed by the relief and promised I would thank Luis in anyway once my family held each other without this burden killing us for almost two years.

I do not want to remember the experience. I will say that Santi, he does not go by Luis, was the only attorney out of 7 other attorneys (some private others appointed by the court) that made every court appearance. Most of the others would simply ask Santi to stand in for them. My brother received... a sentence that will bring him home to us within the next few years (we pray all goes well). I noticed the jealously that surrounds this guy. It seems that so many other lawyers know him but also resent how many clients the guy has. The only word to describe him is humble and down to earth. When we had a hard time keeping up with the payments during Christmas this man told us not to make another one until tax time, who does that! He visited my brother often and truly seemed to care. We called him as late as 10 p.m. sometimes. I do not believe any bad review of this attorney and after having read some of the "perfect scores" other lawyers had, I knew- a lot of people write their own reviews. This is from the heart, if your family members are in trouble ...call him and be considerate, write this lawyer a review and let the people know what your experiences are.
