First and foremost finding the right attorney is a headache, you have no idea if any of the fancy advertisement is really true. So I did what you are doing right now, read through all the different opinions, results, and comments that others before me, had left in their reviews. I personally ended u...p with attorney Monica Perales, and her assistant Evelyn Gil (Eve). A social security disability case is a very slow moving process, and it’s a lot, let me just repeat that, it is a LOT of paperwork, some of it the attorney can get, however; many doctors are not making it easy, so I had to go back and forth in order to get what was needed. Eve being the assistant was my go to person, any questions, or concerns, frustrations and anything in between was through her. My case got denied at first when I submitted it myself, so for my appeal I needed the professional on my side, and ohhh man was that a good idea. Now, Eve may not have been able to get back to me the same day, but she always responded back, she always had suggestions, support and encouragements, when I was losing my mind in this slow process, the SSA is a very slow moving machine. A couple of weeks before my appeals hearing, Monica whet over my case with me, making sure I understood everything and east my mind. At the hearing she knew exactly what to demand, and how to get the right people included, she got the judge to agree to a second hearing in order to have this people that would only benefit my case included, (there is zero chance I would ever have been able to pull that off myself). About a month later my hearing was back on again, this time it was a slam dunk for me and Monica, it was 100 percent in my favor. Afterwards Monica followed up with me a couple of times, just to make sure things were going the right way. If you are looking for a great fighting team in a SSA case, ask for Monica Perales, I am very happy that I did.
