I have a Failure to Appear due to a "fix-it-tickets" that I forgot about. Of course, the DMV suspended my license. I searched on AVVO and found David's site and called him and several other attorneys from the site. He offered knowledge and experience that most other attorneys would make you pay fo...r and he was more than willing to go the extra mile to assist and help alleviate such a nervous time in my life. I HIGHLY recommend him if you have traffic-related legal issues, as he really knows his stuff.

On Friday I desperately needed the advice of an attorney because I have a suspended license due to two non-moving violations and the new procedures at the courts make it really difficult to a) understand what I can do to fix them b) to actually get it done. I am expecting a prospective job to review... my driving record and I need to get it back out of suspension ASAP so that I can get the job. Naturally I thought I will need to hire a lawyer and throw some money at it. First of all, I contacted 3 attorneys and David is the only one who called me back. He spent a lot of time explaining to me what is going on and what my options are. He explained recent changes at the courts and what my options were. In my case, there was not a lot he could do because my tickets are old but he walked me through all the scenarios for getting done what I can do myself and how it will go. Some people never have to hire lawyers. Unfortunately for me I have had to hire them in my life for things other than traffic and I will tell you there are not a lot of attorneys that will spend 30 minutes on the phone with you if there is not a job for them in it. Speaking with him on the phone this long gave me insight into his professional acumen as a law professional but also as a professional I would trust in the future. :)

Based off of David's already excellent reviews I decided to give him a call regarding an outstanding warrant I had from an old case that I was not aware I had. David listened to me explain my reasoning and always made feel he was on my side & wanted to help me out of this matter. He is so honest even... explained how I could take of the matter myself. Being I am a single mom of two & not sure what the judge would rule I hired David at his so reasonable pricing. He was in constant contact with me regarding my case, got me reasonable time to pay off my fees and get the warrant removed. Even know that my case is closed, David will still answer my calls and give legal advise. I highly & 100% recommend him.

A few years ago, I got pulled over by CHP on freeway -- wish it was Eric Estrada but no luck : ( I Forgot about ticket and the the DMV suspended my license. I couldn’t get my license until I took care of that ticket…ugh!!!! Didn’t want to go to court, not sure what to do. Luckily I found David ...Dastrup who talked me off the ledge. We talked on the phone a couple times about everything that needed to be done to get my license back. He explained how the DMV works and how to take care of my ticket and then take care of the DMV problem. I’d rather go to the dentist than go to the DMV. Not sure if I’d rather go to the dentist than go to court because I never had to go to court or leave home to take care of my ticket since David went to court for me. Turns out I had a kind of warrant but David got that cleared up, too. He explained how the court tells the DMV to stick it to me, okay, David never said that but you get the idea. I did go DMV to get my license back after he got my ticket dismissed!!!! He explained that means no DMV points!!! Wonderful to finally have my license back. Grateful to have an attorney who helped me out and took care of everything. Thanks David!

I used this attorney and was very pleased, to say the least. Cool to have an attorney for the first time. He was very professional. Well, it was only for a red light ticket my insurance was saved. Dastrup took the traffic ticket in Torrance and beat the system, It seemed. He didn't promise anything a...nd made it clear his experience winning in these citation situations is good. Apparently he knew perfectly what he was doing from asking questions to me. The knowledge of the system he had was great. To be perfectly honest, I was a bit nervous about what could happen because how can you win these things. But Dastrup came through for me to have the citation dismissed. If anyone I know gets a speeding ticket I am sending them to call him.
