A significant portion of my billing included many hours categorized as “meet and confer.” While I understand this is a normal part of the legal process, the frequency and cost of these entries added up quickly and contributed to the overall expense of the case. As a result, the process became more prolonged and significantly more expensive than I anticipated. Routine issues often escalated into formal legal steps, which increased both time and cost, and added stress during an already difficult situation. From my perspective as a client, I was hoping for a more balanced approach that prioritized efficiency and resolution where possible. Instead, the process felt more adversarial and financially intensive than expected. For anyone considering this firm, I would recommend discussing in advance how billing is handled, how often “meet and confer” time is expected, and what steps are taken to manage costs and pursue resolution.
