After consulting another attorney who directed us to obtain a birth certificate or NABC, we had nearly given up hope of securing my mother’s green card, as obtaining either document was not possible in our situation. On the day of the interview, he came with me and my father to the interview and was able to guide me through the interview and help me when the officer wasn’t knowledgeable about certain immigration laws and was trying to make a case for a denial. He calmly explained to the officer the law and the officer decided to delay the decision on my Green Card. I became worried at first but Anish quickly tried to find a solution as we were leaving the building. In the meantime, I was considering my options in the case that my Green Card application gets denied.
