I want to remind you you are the reason I never found out my attacker was charged. You had me enter into a contract with you... and told me I’m not allowed to speak to the police and wrote a letter to the Detective instructing her to only speak to me through you. Then you never followed up. You charged me hundreds of dollars for police reports you never got for me, only later I found out they were free. You never reimbursed the money like you promised And due to your negligent actions, I never got the restitution in the criminal case against my attacker because I wasnt notified by law enforcement or the court during pre trial when my restitution hearing was put on the calendar because YOU stoppped communicating with me during the time period YOU were hired specifically for this. I paid you to do a job you never did and when I asked for reimbursement it was only then you reached out to the detective but this time you asked the detective to file criminal harassment complaint against me for SENDING YOU AN EMaIL and asking for my money back, which I never got. To this day I’m not reimbursed a single dime as a victim of violent crime but yet you Mr Michaels, profited off my attack. I found it highly inappropriate you didn’t leave the courtroom today for your conflict of interest, but then again you seem to be the common denominator and creator of conflict in legal proceedings you are hired to represent and then when YOU don’t do your job, you result to calling everyone else crazy, gaslighting and threatening people when they call you out on it and keeping all the money. I must say I got a small amount of justice today finding out I’m not alone as I am still suffering to this day from your bad lawyering and fraudulent representation and if you’d like me to file a formal complaint against you and show the evidence of this I have I am happy to we tried many times, but could never get a hold of you. Feel free to reimburse that money for those police reports you forced me tosend you on top of the 4k retainer you hadn’t used up at the time and then you never gave me copies of those reports I paid for that you got for free from BHPD Because remember you already said you’d give the money back and admitted you never did the work, but you never did send the money back and I could really use the police report extortion profits of yours right now if you don’t mind sending the money back my way after all this time . I just knew that you would come there and watch today and have a rush of sympathy and remorse wash over you and be ready to finally pay me back the hundreds of dollars you charged me for free police reports once you got to witness when I’ve been through because you botched my case so badly. And Mr. Michaels, I wouldn’t reply to this Google review and try to say that’s not what you were hired to handle, because I have a text messages and I have the letter you made me sign and if it wasn’t related to me getting attacked outside my home… i’d like to see you try and defend your actions against your former the one you were paid to advocate for… And now speak out against and actually try to get me criminally charged and arrested for asking for money back for services you didn’t render. This happened and it can be an FOIA request if anyone wants to check it out because the police department was on the email. Cheers!

I hired this attorney on 11/5 to file a restraining order against my husband. I paid him almost 4K. He never called me after I pay his retainer fee. He just texted me to send him my statement as soon as possible, so I wrote it all down and sent it to him. He didn't help me at all. And on 11/9 he file...d a restraining order. When I looked at the form he filled out, he wrote my name wrong on his statement and he answered every question on his own he didn’t ask me. He didn’t ask me to confirm before he file it. I wrote down the date and circumstances why and when I called the police, and what kind of abuse occurred. But he wrote very simply that I’m often suffered domestic violence. And he applied to ask judge order my husband to move out. The judge didn’t accept the move out order. And now I have court hearing date. I have no family, nowhere to go, and no money and I have to deliver the documents to my husband. And If my husband files a restraining order against me I have to move out. I asked this lawyer to refund my money. And he didn’t. He even answered that I own the house which is not true at all. i told him that i need the spousal support from my husband he didnt apply it . I don’t have money to hire another lawyer. He made huge mistake and he blame me. He didn’t speak me not once and he said I didn’t understand him and he told me I’m inpatient. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to tell my scary husband about this… Please don’t hire this lawyer.

I must have interviewed at least 20 attorneys before deciding to retain Mr. Michaels and his team. I called Brian about an outstanding warrant stemming from a Misdemeanor charge I had from a couple years back. His fee was very reasonable compared to others I called, especially for someone with his level of experience. Within a couple days of speaking he had the warrant recalled and a new court dat...e scheduled. About a month later he was able to get me a diversion so my record will stay clean. His communication was great and straight forward. I was always able to get a hold of him through phone, text or email whenever I had questions.
