Biography

Ronald Goldman is an Attorney of Counsel for Wisner Baum. Over his 50-year career, he has litigated hundreds of wrongful death and personal injury cases, involving commercial transportation and drug product liability, at both the trial and appellate levels. An experienced pilot, Goldman has worked on all of Wisner Baum’s general aviation and airline disaster cases since joining the firm in 2003.

Goldman brings a formidable breadth and depth of legal experience to his work. He is a board certified Civil Trial Advocate and Civil Pretrial Practice Advocate, certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a former Judge Pro Tem, arbitrator, mediator, and adjunct professor of law at the Pepperdine University School of Law. He created the school’s aviation accident law course; for 21 years he taught courses in torts, aviation, and legal writing and analysis. His understanding of piloting and knowledge of aviation law make him a much sought out expert for major media, who have featured him in many TV, radio, and newspaper stories.

In the 1960’s, Goldman was involved in ground-breaking pharmaceutical litigation against the maker of a cholesterol-lowering drug, MER/29 (triparanol), that was estimated to have injured more than 5,000 individuals. The case helped pave the way for the mass tortdrug product liability litigation that takes place today. Goldman was also the lead negotiator in one of Wisner Baum’s most significant aviation litigation achievements. As part of the settlement in the January 8, 2003 Air Midwest Flight 5481 crash in Charlotte, NC, he won the agreement of the airline and maintenance company, in an organized ceremony, to deliver an unprecedented official public apology to the families for the crash.

Multi-state, multi-plaintiff personal injury case

Attorney Ronald Goldman was an exceptional attorney that we retained after my father was tragically killed by a negligent truck driver on 11/30/10. He was one of several attorneys that worked with the Law Firm, Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman. I only had the pleasure of meeting him once, during a ...Mediation hearing my family and I attended before our case eventually was settled. He was one of the kindest most sincere and honest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He also had a gentleness and sensitive nature about him that spoke volumes about who he is a person. He spoke very clearly and made sure that we all understood everything that was happening. My mother stated that he reminded her of a dear relative she knew growing up and that she felt he genuinely cared about our loss and getting justice for our family-we all felt he did. I would highly recommend this law firm and Ronald Goldman as an attorney for anyone seeking any kind of legal work that would require an attorney. We have been truly blessed and feel honored that our case was taken on by such an amazing attorney but evern more, by such an amazing and outstanding human being.

Thank you doesn't seem enough

On behalf of our entire family, and most importantly my mother, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for all that your firm did for us during a very difficult process. It is very difficult still, four years later, to deal with the loss of my mother. As you heard many people say, she was the... glue that held us all together. Her loss continues to be felt by all of us and all that knew and loved her. My family hired Baum Hedlund to represent us in our case against the trucking company responsible for my mother’s death.
