We were totally satisfied with the information and service given to us by Mr. Kaplan and his staff when we required the need to establish a Family Trust and update our wills. He and his staff were very knowledgeable and able to explain the procedure, as well as the Benefits of a family Trust, in ...a very simple and easily understandable fashion. Kirk and his staff at Crest Key are the most knowledgeable, ethical, professional and above all the most honest attorney/person I have ever met. Following a presentation by Kirk at our company, I became interested in establishing a family estate trust after observing my neighbor lose his mother and not be able to have timely funeral services for her because his finances were frozen following her death. I also reflected on my last trip home to... Hawaii and dealing with my aging parents' POA, Health Directives, placing family property in my and my sister's names, etc. Finding an attorney here in Las Vegas is not the easiest task but fortunately, my organization did some pre-presentation vetting of Kirk and his firm Crest Key much to our benefit. Like most attys, Kirk is a sharp dresser but don't let the external business attire fool you. He is not only highly ethical and professional, he spoke/explained/answered every question we had simply and plainly. He also has a sense of humor, which for me personally was essential to finally engaging Kirk to do something that I considered very important for my legacy to my wife and child. My wife and I felt that he or his capable assistant Barbara had our interests at heart when drafting and addressing our issues/questions. We did not feel like we were numbers being hurried through a process and Kirk took the time to address some of the more emotional areas especially when the document addresses what happens upon one's death. I/we wanted peace of mind that our trust would stand up tall through probate and our heirs would not be in a bottomless blackhole when either of us or both expire without a clear, legally-permissible path to retaining our most intimate wishes after death. I have shared this positive experience with our HR staff who brought in Mr. Kaplan and would highly recommend Kirk (and Barbara) to be your family estate trust planning professionals.
