35 Days for an Annulment- WOW! Thanks Mike and team

I hired Michael Carman on a referral from my trust attorney in NV. Mike and I met on a Monday, I hired him on the spot, my complaint was filed 3 days later and he and his team (Maria, Missy, Emma, Stephanie and Robin) worked diligently to successful gain an annulment for me in 35 days!! Mike is cr...ystal clear, to the point & most importantly does NOT waste your time or money. Mike is very approachable and available. He ONLY wants what is best for the client and encourages his clients to move on when the divorce is done. This was the BEST experience I have ever had with an attorney. Thank you Mike and team.

Review - Mike Carman - Family Law

Mike partnered with Corinne in 2016, They are currently and have been working on my case for over a year. He has been a great asset to me with my family law case(child support, custody, and evaluations). The circumstances of my case still bring us to court because of my ex . With his abilities, Mik...e was able to get the court to see my side and help my children. I recommend Mike and Corinne at The Fine, Carman & Price Family Las Attorneys to anyone looking for a family attorney.

Beware

Ran up huge ($70,000) fees for divorce which should have ended sooner and much differently. Failed to file documentation in timely manner, asked for detailed docs but effectively did no use them, threatened to withdraw one week before trial if I didn't agree to a very unfair settlement despite being ...paid an additional 10K to "get us through trial". Unprepared for a deposition which was a farce. Beware.

This posting is not at all accurate. Not every client approaches their divorce case in a rational manner and can accept the realities of divorce litigation. Unfortunately, cases become expensive when clients are not honest with their attorneys, continuously refuse to follow the advice of their counsel, and are unhealthily angry toward the other party to the point where they cannot see the realities of their own case.

Poor

If anyone has experienced the fleecing and price gouging that I personally encountered from attorney Michael Carman (formerly of Law Offices of Kunin and Carman), there is recourse! I received a binding DECISION yesterday from the Nevada fee dispute program in the amount of $11,257.50! While it d...oesn't cover the full $21,000.00 I lost, it's a start. They even point out that he dropped my case on the eve of my trial. Save yourself the hassle!.... but more importantly a panel of His peers saw it my way (2 attorney's and 1 lay person ). Case #FD15-06* if readers are interested. They also address his excessive fees. Quote: Michael Carman's "charge of 4% to cover costs is determined to be excessive and unreasonable and therefore NOT ALLOWED in light of the fact that Respondent (Carman) charged for ALL itemized expenses." "All work negotiations and preparation for trial were WITHOUT merit and of NO value".

Prior to this client retaining my prior firm she had been deemed unfit by the Court and had very little contact with her children. After undertaking the monumental task of restoring her parental rights and moving her case in the right direction, and investing my time and energies to her defense, I had to withdraw from her case due to her inability to pay a trial retainer and irreconcilable differences of opinion as to how her case should be handled. After dedicating a tremendous amount of time trying to help her and achieving amazing results for her, she has come to the conclusion that there was no value to the services that I provided and refuses to recognize all that I did for her.

A damn good Lawyer.

I actually met Michael by accident. I was a single father trying to get custody of his son after my girlfriend was advised by legal council to leave the state without consent. The way the laws were written, there are nearly no protections afforded single fathers. I was actually using a different l...awyer, and due to a very biased judge, I was only allowed to see my son 9 days a month, and I was ordered to pay $693 a month Child support. Michael worked very hard on our appeal to the state supreme court, and while we were not able to overturn the decision of the original judge (one who is no longer serving as a family judge in the state of Nevada), we were able to get legislation introduced to help cement the rights of unwed fathers in Nevada. I see the people that gave him low reviews complained that he overcharged them. I can't speak for that, but I can tell you that he did all the work on my case, which would have been well in excess of $100k completely Pro Bono. While he was unable to get help for me, I do not believe it was due to anything he did wrong, but due to an incorrect decision by the state Supreme Court of the State of Nevada.
